My ideal backswing in a one plane action is all about Rotation ..shoulders/back and torso...not hands anad arms...that's probably the hardest concept to actually put into action for the average golfer. They want to swing back w/ the hands and arms, AS I See YOU DO...watch Matt Kuchar..and other One Plan Swingers...If your right handed keep your hands and arms relaxed and slowly rotate your right shoulder (if your rt handed)..back around approx 90 %. Let the rotation direct the swing.
Thanks for your comment. As you probably noticed from one of the other commenters, I do cross the line at the top. Unfortunately (I guess), that is just something I have had no success in eliminating. Maybe this dog is a little too old? :-)
My focus has been on setup [in the 48" zone], impact [standing on the left leg], and release [slap hinge throw].
Great swing man. I think your shaft may be a little over the line at the top...but all and all, good swing. Your best move is the connection between your arms and body. They truly work in sync!
You got one of the better 1 plane swings posted on you tube. Your set up and address position looks good and you have good rotation through the impact zone....Your left arm could be a little higher parellel to your shoulders, but otherwise, again, your are closest as to a Jim Hardy one plane swing...Keep up the good work
JMHO, let arms hang freely below chin. Reaching for the ball makes you fall forward, as you were in your video. Also, a tad too flat. Get right arm up like you are holding a pizza in your palm and behind your shirt seam on b/s. Nice tempo.
A lot of great things going already, definitely one plane swing. Read Jim Hardy Plane Truth if you haven't. Your one noticeable problem. Your backswing is too flat. At the top, your left arm needs to be parellel with your shoulders. Ignore advice to step closer to ball, your setup is perfect for one plane swing.
move your stance toward the ball by about 4 inches. dont push the club forward toward the ball like you do right before you hit...when you first address the ball, your arms are hanging naturally, and everything looks good but then you slide the club forward to the ball and your shoulders go with it, and then, on the swing your shoulders return to that first position, thats why youre hitting on the toe of the club, so move forward toward the ball a little bit and toe your club in a little bit too

I'm also working on a one plane swing. Doesn't look like your on the same plane at the top. Maybe I'm missing something.
