One side of the only workable path out of this crisis for the US is to implement a regressive taxation scheme. The best would be to start the highest bracket at 2pc (for the richer) down to 70pc on the poorer. Of course, this cant be done openly, therefore there is going to be a lot of hidden taxations on the poorer.
Interesting point. That said, you would think they would double-time it by patroling wealthier neighborhoods as that demographic would be less likely to go on a payment plan, and just pay the fine up front. Although up here they do have a service fee for a payment plan.

There is one thing we never hear about in the media that should be one of the biggest issues with regards to the Iraq and Afghan wars we are fighting. Who is really supporting the insurgents in Iraq? Who is really supporting the Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistan? I know in Africa you can get an AK-47 much cheaper on the black market than you can here @ a gunshow but they aint free and the ammo damned sure aint free. I gotta imagine an RPG or an RPG round aint that cheap. Who is funding them?

As it is now, if kids are skippin school alot, the parent(s) can be be arrested. That really snaps the parents into knowing if their kids are at school or not. But arresting the kid skipping and have parents leave work to pick them up, is a time lost on the job as well as the fine. Parents will then really start pay attention to what their kids are doing in the daytime. if a kid is with a parent that should be in school but mom though it would be ok to tak the to the movie or shopping instead...

Plus, there are some parents, particularly single moms, who couldn't control their kids even if they wanted it. For all kinds of reasons, this kind of thing just isn't a workable thing to do. Don't worry about the ammo question so much. Bird Shot will do in the short term, but I would definitely inrease my supply of 00 & 000 Buckshot along with some rifled slugs over time. Shot one box of each per year and buy 2 or 3 boxes per year. Over time, you'll build up nice little stock of ammo.

As a result you then have to pay $125 on top of your citation fine for a hardship permit to go to work. Then once your suspension is lifted you pay $40 to re-instate your license. A report on local radio had a DMV representative saying that they are currently 11 days behind schedule on issuing hardship permits because so many suspensions are happening. Pure revenue at the cost of money, and time to the public. These aren't DUI's, these are common traffic citations.

Also see: The "Step up" in police traffic enforcement, that at least here in Portland has been in effect since December. Between where I am and my gym I go to everyday I see at least 5 to 8 patrol cars shooting radar between 8am, throughout the day until 2am. What's happening is Oregon has instituted a law where if you get 2 traffic citations in one year your license gets suspended for 30 days. Continued above....

One side of the only workable path out of this crisis for the US is to implement a regressive taxation scheme. The best would be to start the highest bracket at 2pc (for the richer) down to 70pc on the poorer. Of course, this cant be done openly, therefore there is going to be a lot of hidden taxations on the poorer.

Interesting point. That said, you would think they would double-time it by patroling wealthier neighborhoods as that demographic would be less likely to go on a payment plan, and just pay the fine up front. Although up here they do have a service fee for a payment plan.

Another form of hidden tax: you are taxed the same or more for less services. As very often, poors are the ones relying on public services, well, these cities are doing what is needed to go out of this crisis.

I have studied this homegrown terror issue for a while. It has been brewing beneath the surface for some time. There was a story where a sheriff way overdid his response to a child welfare concern because he knew the dad was a constitutionalist, which he had been warned by the FBI was a group to be wary of. Just one example, and it happened a year or so ago.
Basically, any group that would be willing to be violent to defend their beliefs is classed as a terrorist. Remember HR 1955?

We all need to be cautious, unfortunately there is a lot of mistrust out there, and a lot of people with the title of libertarian, and especially Ron Paul supporter, have done things that have freaked out the establishment. I remember lots of complaints, in fact, remember Glenn Beck getting death threats because he spoke ill of Ron Paul?
They say one bad apple spoils the barrel, well we Ron Paul supporters are being profiled by the bad behavior of a few wild cards.
