It is obvious that some of the ALCF Elders either directly knew or suspected their Former Senior Pastor's infidelity. A pastor's assistants are usually over-protective of a pastor, right up to his expulsion or forced resignation. The church most likely gave Paul Sheppard severance/golden parachute pay in return for his "moral failure" resignation and disappearing act. I am keeping and eye out for other ALCF MIA Elders.

I believe that his wife was the first to suspect something was wrong, probably years ago. Preacher's wives seem to stand by their men much longer than ordinary folks. I once saw Paul and Meridith Sheppard on the road, stopped, at an intersection,on their way to church. I did not realize who they were. Something strange has also happened. I listen to Pastor Paul's sermon bites on YouTube. The messages now ring hollow. It is is like I was paying for advice from a doctor, only to find out that the doctor was later found to be a quack. All of Paul Sheppards radio broadcasts are now off the air. His "Enduring Truth" site is closed. Trust in God, not man.

I was crushed to hear that Pastor Sheppard is no longer with us. I had just discovered him maybe a year ago and would listen to his broadcast on KKLA during my lunch break. He was so down to earth, so funny, so real and helped keep my hungry for God's word. I really hope that he is somehow able to come back to the radio once but i know there will be a long spiritual proces that needs to take place 1st. My mother used to listen to and send money to Jim Jones. He was a false profit. He lead several hundred people, many from East Palo Alto, to suicide in Guana. My mother was not one of the chosen. Those people acted on blind faith. They did not really know Pastor Jones. You cannot be healed from sin, other than by God. She needs to take the child's picture off the net. Healing is a cleansing process. You have to clean your House (of God) out.

As rumors apparently began spreading around ALCF about his "affair" Elders took notice. His resigination, was most-likely forced upon him. He was hired by the original East Palo Church of God that became ALCF.

A great gift has been silenced. I'm thankful for these youtube postings because the teaching is invaluable. Discipline is required, necessary and good for the entire body. Prayers go out to the Sheppard family and church family, that they all will be strengthened, and that none will become lost. God never fails. So as long as your trust is in the right place, in God alone, you will never be ashamed or disappointed.

There are many who after hearing the news of PASTOR Shepard's resignation, will form their own opinion on how he should have handled things and get their own rhema word from the Lord...but truth of the matter is we have ALL fallen short and this is a time where we as TRUE believers MUST pray for restoration for he and his family. Some studder, some have heart conditions, some are are blind, some are in wheel chairs, some speak broken english, some have no clue about church building, etc. Paul Sheppard is a gifted speaker. Try listening to Jessy Gurstan(sp), Grace Bible Fellowship, San Leandro or Dr Larry Ellis, Pilgrim Baptist Church, San Mateo (KFAX). These are also straght Bible preachers.
