@CorpseGrynder69 Most close-mid range shots go straight through. if they don't, they probably hit a bone. However, the last shot didn't even touch the boar lol... fantastic reflexes. Natural selection at its finest.
WTF!!!! WHY ARE U GUYS HURTING THESE BEAUTIFUL WILD ANIMALS! Is it so funny to shoot an arrow in them? what would you've done if somebody was shooting arrows at you! Why are you guys doing this! Can't you do anything else than hurting animals???
@omdatikloop It is called hunting. We hunt animals, and yes they are beautiful. We hunt them to maintain healthy populations and in some cases to rid the countryside of feral pests. We eat what we kill and we kill it humanely (within seconds) with archery equipment. Game animals are not the cage raised table fare that you are likely used to, but they work just fine on my table. Mother nature provides but 3 ends for animals. Starvation, disease or predation which is more humane?
@FilmerOfBobcats Hunting hogs in TX is a 24/7 pursuit. Deer hunting lasts from a half hour before sunrise to a half hour after sunrise. What I wonder is why people don't educate themselves regarding these regulations. Hunting is a pastime that gets people out into nature. Killing is not always the result, but for those of us that follow the rules, conservation, is always the result.
@omdatikloop How do you suppose meat is made? An animal approaches someone and dies? Also, wild game is far healthier and far more humane than eating beef or poultry from the store. Many people hunt to EAT. Consider that your chicken from the restaurant, store, etc, grows to 10+ lbs in just 1-2 months, so fast that it may break a leg, will die of a heart-attack or sickness or suffocation often before even slaughtered, and lives in a cramped room with no sunlight and abundant fecal matter.
@Illiasc Great points all!. The natural order provides a process whereby, people and animals eat to survive. Man is quite capable of "producing" food. One method of production allows natural selection and personal skill to be involved. That is called hunting. I believe that the self reliance required to produce a meal by your own hands is not only important to build skills required to live, but it provides the hunter with appreciation for what some people see as nothing more than wildlife.
Bow and crossbow hunting is mainly not allowed here in Germany (only small animals as bunnys and only in some states) but I'd like for them to allow it at least for small animals everywhere.
Have you ever had a pheasant for dinner that was shot with buckshot?
It's more lead and shattered bones than meat! I wonder why some states think that that's better than an arrow.
@SPIKEYQWERTY With a properly placed shot, animals usually expire within seconds. The Use of a bright lighted nock allows the archer to determine effectiveness of the shot and pursue he game properly after the shot. An animal that is hit only maginally well is most likely found if not "pushed" in such cases. This is a tool that gives the archer better tools with which to pursue beyond the shot. Ones ability to find the arrow also helps in decision making beyond the shot.
@SPIKEYQWERTY Folks back then? Bowhunting is a growing sport today. Yes, modern people still have access to meat that is not raised standing its entire life in feces. Before you begin berating me for killing, ask yourself if your meals are of meat from animals that lived free. Free to prey and be preyed upon. Man is a predator. Had he not been "back then" you would not be here today.
@SPIKEYQWERTY A lot of hunting these days occurs in rather populated areas. Guns not being an option, the insurance compaies love us bowhunters. The whitetails will die at the hands of a bowhunter or on the bumper of a Chevy. I prefered an arrowed meal to a smashed one.
@brrunorrsirrerrarr are you serious? Hunters and sportsman are responsible for more conservation and game management than almost any other group or organization. It is in our best interest to protect the environment and animals we love to hunt!
@brrunorrsirrerrarr Here we go again. Animals are not innocent or guilty. They are animals. That means that they will eat one another. Eat or be eaten. That is the way god made them. It is humans who apply guilt or inocence to the actions of people. Hunters and fishermen recognize these facts and by their actions, animals benefit. Habitat , healthy numbers of animals, re-establishment of species are all things that hunters support. If we didn't our resources would already have been depleted.
@brrunorrsirrerrarr if your going to point fingers you need to point it at americas fatass, hunting is by far more humane than the corporate death machines called fastfood restaraunts animals raised for the sole purpose for death and to be shit out. you sit their shoving a fatass burrito down ur throat and play blame game on hunters, go to a farm for 1 day maybe u would understand. humans eat meat and its more fair to hunt the meat then to genetically enigineer for increase profits, not hunters.
@bignitro50 The Lumenok light is provided by an LED. That light is directed back at the archer. Animals react to everything. What you are seeing is an animals reaction to sound. These animals never knew what hit them.
lumenoks are awesome, ive used them and always find my arrows, i suppose theres others out there who didnt use lighted arrow nocks and havent found the ones they lost without them huh?
I am interested in starting hunting but just out of interest why dont you aim for the head? Or Would you aim for the head if you were using a rifle? Do the arrows just bounce off the skull?
@SHORTASS112 Head shots are not the highest percentage shot with an arrow. Best is always to target both lungs. An arrow aimed at the head will frequently bounce off. A poorly placed shot from a rifle can injure as well. Shoot vor vitals. That is always he best approach.
@SHORTASS112 the only time u should aim 4 the head is when u have a large caliber rifle and u r hunting elephant and r going 4 a frontal brain shot but other than that DONT aim 4 the head especially in archery
@SHORTASS112 bowhunting large game you want to aimfor the lungs and vital organs right behind the forelegs. if you get a good lung shot or even hit both lungs the animal wil probably only make it less than 50 yards
@trikol98 , I assume that you eat meat. What you see in these videos are animals that live on the free range. They live and die as mother nature prescribes. They fall prey to predators that take their first bites prior the the animal's death, or they starve to death. I hunt for nourishment of the body and the mind. I respect my prey, otherwise I would be less than successful in harvesting it.
@hm0ngg1rl1 , Lumenoks are Lighted arrow nocks. They don't shock. They allow the archer to see exactly where his arrow hits. they also allow him to find his arrow after the shot .
That was a Javalina, they are very fast. He didn't see the light, but he heard the bow and bolted. Without the Lumenok, that arrow would have been long gone. With it, however, that arrow was found and used on a more successful shot later that same day.
For those of you out there who are unaware of what anthromorphic means, it is - The endowment of human characteristics to something that is not human. Anti-Hunters do this to strengthen their arguments....." If you were a deer how would you like it if ..."
just silly. Personally,
If I were a deer, I would look both ways before crossing the highway.......
Deer don't see red. The light from the Lumenok is also directed backward. The sound from the bow is going to alert any animal about as quickly anyway. The light does not come on until you shoot it. This has worked millions of times.
im thinking that the animals will notice a glowing bright orange arrow..? there fore making your camaflauge and trying to sneak up on them a waste of time?
I have seen an arrow from a 75# draw go through a buck, skip off a branch, and take flight to never be seen again. Found the buck though, lost a $17 arrow and broadhead though. How long do they stay lit after the shot?
