My parents got divorced when I was 7 and my dad was always gone and a few years ago my mom met my stepdad and he is like my dad I haven't seen my real dad in a few years and he rarely ever calls so my stepdad calls me his little girl
ive never realy knew my real dad but when i was little my mom fell in love with tha man i call my dad today. im so thankful for him cause he could have been so mean to me but wasnt so i thank him for being the man he didnt have to be
I lost my dad 2 weeks b4 my 4th birthday, my mom met another man an about 2 years after she and he got married, so he's raised me since I was about 5years old. I believe the man I cal my dad LOVED being a dad. So a few years back I bought him this CD and made him a cake saying "thanks for being the man yu didnt have to be" didnt man to, but it made him cry. alost crying now just thinking about it. But I couldnt have asked for a better dad.
@MsJadedangel I'm so glad that everyone has an emotional tie to this song. It's refreshing to know that there are men in the world that will step and be the man that they need to make sure a kid has that special father figure in their life. I'm sorry you lost your father, but I'm glad that you had another man that made your mother and you happy. Thank you for sharing your story. :)

Well, if there's a reason for them being apart then it could be best that way. My parents were married and it was a disaster. A lot of bad stuff happened and now that I have a stepdad, I couldn't be happier.
