@SmittyBass14 They're both decent quality and you pay a good deal more for a Kahler, but with it's cam-based design you get a much smoother ascent and decent compared to the Hipshot, which uses spring like a Floyd Rose and stretches then out, needing replacements every few years depending on how much it's used. The Kahler also requires *much* less routing out of body wood - it's what I'll be picking for my Whammy Bass.

@tokorev74777 It depends which one you get. I got one of the newest Kahlers for my bass, I can fucking dive-bomb the shit out of it and it still stays in tune. As for use, because I'm a death metal bassist I use it to either add variety to bass lines or to do those brutal dive-bomb riffs, like in the first half of Bloodbath's song At The Behest Of Their Death.

It sounds like your action is pretty high and the strings are pretty dead, too.

Also, your fingering looks uncomfortable to me, playing will be much easier when you keep your fingers in a right angle to the frets and rest the thumb behind the neck.

@tokorev747777 It's a trend thats been around for almost 30 years, never caught on unless you're an insane bass player. But I say what the hell im into the expirimental. And yeah Victor does use one and to be honest, it doesn't drop out of tune as bas as people think it does. Probably stays in tune probably as long as a regular six string guitar with a tremello installment on it.

it really all depends on your price range really, They don't make bass guitars with whammy bars anymore. thats why they usually will sell bass guitars and a whammy bar add on as two different things.

@tekkentool Um it stays in tune for a little bit just like a guitar with one, Actually I don't think they make locking tuner's for bass guitars ( Im not totally positive on that) but The guy I bought it from said the bass he had it on didn't have it either and he was a 20 year veteran at the instrument.
