If you're talking Halo 3 you're looking at the retail update, that health-vs-timing system sucked and was adressed in v.1.1
Halo: Combat Evolved had fantastic physics at its time, where the Warthog simply has a fantastic punch to it. Though Halo 2 and Halo 3's Warthog felt like it was built in styrofoam.
Not really, the PC version looks horrible. Console version (Xbox360/PS3) has significantly better overall quality, and I am not talking crap out of a console perspective, but just look at GRAW for consoles and you'll find a actual game compared to this, in comparison, junk.

How can you tell if a processor is slightly been damaged from previous overclocking? I want to buy a X2 4200+ as an upgrade to my socket 939 mobo, but it is a used item and I'm worried if it has damage. I was a bit of a idiot at this time - a bit too new to computers and overclocking. Sorry for the confusion, but what I did was to decrease some multiplier and in lack of understanding I thought it was the CPU getting decreased clocks due to bad thermal conditions during overclocked sessions.

It's not too hard, your tech isn't strong enough. The CPU is just pure rubbish, the high clockspeeds means nothing on aged technology. The videocard should still be decent though.

That can be due to many factors, consumes Harddrive, unoptimzed system, old drivers, etc. When I got the video with this rig I didn't have anything overclocked, the CPU was slightly forced downclock due to damage.

If your running this on a X1550 on Full then ur a bit silly. And if people here watching this saying that GRAW2 will be crap because of this Video, Your've got alot to learn. This is just a Performance test, Ive got the full version and its Alot more Fun then this video displays. X360 and PC are Developed differently. X360 is more suited for Third Person while PC is more suited for First Person.

I think that's about the rig a friend of mine has and he has some problems running it on low without a stable FPS. P4 is never a good idea when it comes to games. Let me put on a guess... 25-40FPS on low settings? That's my guess.
What to you intend? Every shooter is the other alike in the sense you're going to be killing people. But this game has alot other focus than Halo, especially than the first game. This is more of a Seek & Hide in a tactical way - once you're in the open you're practicly dead and you won't have any shields to make you stay alive more than a three-four shots.
Sounds like a good deal, myself I'm considering either a 5600+ or a 6000+ since the later comes with a good value-set including mobo and 2048mb memory for about $350. First thing might be a HD2900XT though, I'm just so hot for that card even if the combination with that card and that high-end AMD CPU might eat the PSU out of the business.
With same settings, excl. sound-quality (in case you have motherboard audio) let's say... 35-55, my guess. My processor is slightly damaged from overclocking though. You'll be able to run it, no problem.
I don't know really, me with my Gigabyte Passive cooling solution for it it capable of hitting about C+25/M+30mhz(x2) and have it stable - not a big deal, a fan cooler would be much better for overclocking though, to make things safe. I'm considering a new card though, but during the meanwhile overclocking is always an option.
i've played the Demo too, its fun but the graphic aren't so great, and the weapoon select system is shit, i hate it, i pre ordered the game, and i hope to god the demo is an early version of the game, because even on the lowest settings it lagged lik hell and was extremely glitchy, and i know my graphics card can easily handle this game
If your card can't take the lowest settings, then the full game won't do that much better. Instead of buying games you should upgrade your rig to get a good gaming experience and during the meanwhile check demos out or download games - since buying expensive games for a outdated system isn't that cool.
Becuase the PC convertion IS a first person shooter, not any too cool such either. Visually and gameplay-wise the 360 version just dominate everything the PC version stand for. Actually, to me the GRAW 1 and/or 2 is the absolute best 360 game out there and one of the best shooters I've ever played.
PC version is decent, but isn't anything close to the ground breaking, awesome concept of the Xbox 360 version. Controls, visuals and sounds was to absolute most part just way superior compared to the very regular and basic PC version.
The Xbox 360 version is just Soo much better. Graw series for 360 is about the best shooter ever designed even with some technical slowdowns, but it's simply amazing.
As for framerate or gameplay? It's pretty slow, in the start. But once you get a grip of the map you can really predict where people is going and just take them by surprice with a little stealthy approach.
Like Keld' said, we need proper information about your hardware if you were actually looking for help. Try downloading the latest drivers for your card to start with, if your card is very old it could be a problem either the card is supported or not. Also make sure temperatures and power is sufficient. If you can send me a more detailed shot of the pieces you're running with maybe I could give you some better help, send me a Note.
I'm actually quite sure that would be due to Windows Vista. If you're a gamer you should NEVER rush into a new system before it's first year in service since, especially with Microsoft, it's impossible to use it without wanting to kill somebody just due to the fact the system runs games like a cripple.

On Xbox 360 - no. Splitscreen is locked to first person to not have the player model consume 50% of the aligned screenspace.

You can play most PC games with any of the official Xbox 360 controllers, wireless or wired (wireless required a USB-adapter acting as a reciever).
I'm quite sure you can play this game with controllers or atleast modify the controls to allow it.

PC version is decent, but isn't anything close to the ground breaking, awesome concept of the Xbox 360 version. Controls, visuals and sounds was to absolute most part just way superior compared to the very regular and basic PC version.

The Xbox 360 version is just Soo much better. Graw series for 360 is about the best shooter ever designed even with some technical slowdowns, but it's simply amazing.

I fixed it but I had to ask on ubisoft forums :P
now i can play, i put most of my settings maxed :)
It's pretty fun ^^ but the spawn limit for ghost is pretty lame :( XD XD XD

Ghost Spawn limit is very annoying, but required. Once a ADAT unit is taken out the ghosts can spawn one time again.

Along with 1024mb RAM and a decent processor it'll do just fine, since as far as I know that card is ~20 % faster than mine.

As for framerate or gameplay? It's pretty slow, in the start. But once you get a grip of the map you can really predict where people is going and just take them by surprice with a little stealthy approach.

Played it today, it's a very good demo.

What's your setup? like, videocard? cpu?
And what drivers do you use?
What power supply do you got?
What OS you got?

Like Keld' said, we need proper information about your hardware if you were actually looking for help. Try downloading the latest drivers for your card to start with, if your card is very old it could be a problem either the card is supported or not. Also make sure temperatures and power is sufficient. If you can send me a more detailed shot of the pieces you're running with maybe I could give you some better help, send me a Note.

I'm actually quite sure that would be due to Windows Vista. If you're a gamer you should NEVER rush into a new system before it's first year in service since, especially with Microsoft, it's impossible to use it without wanting to kill somebody just due to the fact the system runs games like a cripple.
