@brohockey87 We ate 1/2 the breast for 4 meals! Dinner for three, lunch the next day for two, and lunch again another day. Fresh turkey is SO good, nothing like the injected stuff you get at the grocery.
I am not that kind of person, but really, you have to admit that his handling of his weapon is not correct. The barrel should never be point up with the butt of the gun resting on your boot. As for me not holding mine, it's a Benelli Super Black Eagle 12-ga with a 3 1/2" shell and a pistol grip because it kicks so hard!
@gixxer188 Check out gixxer188 video of his turkey hunt. The guy is using a firearm that is obviously too big for him to handle, and he is trying to dis a 12 year old who has been handling firearms safely for 7 years alreay and never had any problems. The butt stock doesn't ever rest on his boot, and as for it pointing up, look at any other video out there...the weapon was checked for safety before he even stood up.
Nice turkey, nice shot but how about some hunter education? Is that the way to hold your gun? Barrel pointing up right at your head, is this the way they teach in NC?
@gixxer188 His Dad was in three branches of the military, and also teaches hunter's education. It's all about muzzle awareness and having control of your firearm. He ensured the gun was safe before he even stood up. The muzzle was never pointed directly at anyone's head. You can always find something to discredit if you are that kind of person.
He has awesome patience! Dad was telling him to "just shoot one" because he just passed up on two other huge toms. He was afraid if he shot one, he would inadvertantly hit the other. Such integrity for a 12-year old! Dad was worried they would have to leave without anything in the bag. No worries now!
