The tone quality suffers from a stiff right hand. It's like a claw.

Look at some more relaxed players like Pierre Bensusan who play the most difficult pieces with ease.

Thanks mellow. Yes, it is indeed a fiddle tune, but one that works so very well on acoustic. The first time I heard it, it was played on an acoustic and I thought "what a perfect acoustic guitar tune". Go figure!

This tune was originally written for the fiddle

(Jay Ungar is a fiddle player)

however also sounds very nice played as fingerstyle guitar.
