Rahat lacks the ethereal quality of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Even the improvisation he does lacks the depth. still, a good attempt.

Music is bad. This song is from a bollywood movie. Music was better in that movie.

It was in India in a show they don't air anymore. It was pretty much about top singers from India and Pakistan who came and sang their most famous songs live. I think the show was called Yeh Shaam Mastani and it was on Sony TV.

What are you talking about? Just being a Qawwal should not restrict you from showing your musical versatility. Rahat is an outstanding SINGER - his genre may well be Qawwal but that doesn't stop him from being able to sing other amazing songs. Even the late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan sang a few Bollywood numbers (Koi Jaane Koi Na Jaane) and had collaborations with Western bands.

As someone who has had some classical exposure and training myself, my comment was not a slur on this great family. I am one the biggest fans of the great Nusrat Fateh Ai Khan. I never said the Rahat ji was not a good singer or anything of that nature. A few of his notes were a bit flat in places in this peformance.
