I believe that everyone in the allied countries has been taught lies about what germany and the Nazi's were all about. The victor writes history in it's benefit. They always talk about How the allies are the great glorious super heroes and the germans are filth. The entire upper echelon of Nazi government effectively brainwashed an entire country, and took away basic freedoms from its people, not to mention the extermination of millions of jews, gypsies, gays, blacks, etc. You didn't volunteer of "join up" to fight in the german army, you either fought or you were executed by the Nazis as a traitor.

As for Churchill's statement about American technology , British officers, Canadian soldiers Hahaha , British officers( public schoolboy Nancies), who where utterly despised by the ordinary british soldier. It didn't beat the UK ,when the Germans did it in the Blitz and it didn't beat the Japanese either until the US used the Atomic Bomb.

If the Germans had not been delayed and had invaded Russia when they originally planned to do so , they would probably have beaten the Russians.!

If you may recall it was Hitler who started it by invading Poland on 1st september 1939 (though the tension in Europe had already been rising). So do not blame the British or the Americans. And the Americans only started to fight on the war in 1941, 2 years after it started.

They always talk about How the allies are the great glorious super heroes and the germans are filth. The entire upper echelon of Nazi government effectively brainwashed an entire country, and took away basic freedoms from its people, not to mention the extermination of millions of jews, gypsies, gays, blacks, etc. You didn't volunteer of "join up" to fight in the german army, you either fought or you were executed by the Nazis as a traitor.

As for Churchill's statement about American technology , British officers, Canadian soldiers Hahaha , British officers( public schoolboy Nancies), who where utterly despised by the ordinary british soldier. Canadian troops, who where allegedly totally out of control and basically unpunished War Criminals. American technology, (apart from the A bomb) nothing that was anywhere near as good as the equipment the German Forces had! It was the russian numbers that beat Germany nothing else!

The problem was production: it took the Germans forever to crank out one of their super-awesome tanks while the United States could produce ten slightly less awesome tanks.

@FalconBoxe I don't deny that Allied airpower "played a part", I merley state that it was Russian numbers,( ground warfare) that was the real and decisive factor that brought the war to an end , for without the mass Russian ground forces , allied bombing ,( barring the use of the Atomic Bomb) would never have beaten the German Armed Forces! It didn't beat the UK ,when the Germans did it in the Blitz and it didn't beat the Japanese either until the US used the Atomic Bomb.

@JgHaverty No, Germany lost because of helping Mussolini out in Greece , there by delaying Operation Barbarosa and thereby losing the impetus of their invasion, due to being caught up in one of the severest of winters , that Russia had experienced for many years, There after, Russian numbers ( men, tanks etc ) made the German's task impossible. If the Germans had not been delayed and had invaded Russia when they originally planned to do so , they would probably have beaten the Russians.!

The average german soldier went into battle the same way his grandfather & father before him did in ww1. On foot. With supplies & artillery propelled entirely by horse drawn wagons. The spearheads went 'varrooom' and the rest went 'clippty-clop'.

Though I hasten to add Adolf's over-reach was also instrumental in shortening the war, if not preventing a victory outright. Not to mention his ludicrous declaration of war against the US. He handed Roosevelt's the justification sought. Mussolini was a huge drain as well.

It is believed, that the U.S. deliberately let Pearl Harbour occur , so as to get into the war against Germany (Japan's ally) because no matter how blatantly the U.S. broke their nuetrality (sinking german ships etc ) they couldn't force the Germans to retaliate and thereby give them the excuse to enter the War!
