Meh,Touhou looks more of a challenge ;) cool game though,I really like shmups.The debs did a good job representing the genre.

oew he mentioned mars matrix and cave, he must know shmups -.-. this game is only good on the hardest difficulties. and you can totally see where they look ideas from, ur main ship is totally the dodonpachi ship and so are the levels, the last level was obviously inspired by the treasure, ikaruga/raidiant silvergun. i enjoyed it though, like to se more games like this.

Mike Rose mentions Minecraft about 11 times in his "review." Even the title states that it isn't really a review, it's a comparison with a "go buy it" at the end. The fact that he calls Terraria's player base dense fanboys threw me off. I for one have never played Minecraft and would like to see an unbiased review of Terraria without blatantly comparing the two. Must be a huge journalistic challenge for people to completely omit the comparison as I have yet to see a review do it.

@RancidShamble Play Minecraft. You'll see why you can't review Terraria without mentioning it. He doesn't say that Terraria's player base is made up of "dense fanboys." The exact phrase is: "Anyone who tells you that Terraria is not a 2D Minecraft clone is either a) a huge Terraria fanboy, or b) a bit dense." I stand by that. It might be better than Minecraft, it might offer more, but it's obviously, obviously based on Minecraft.

@bytejacker lol I know it's impossible not to mention MC when reviewing Terraira and I know where Terraria's roots came from. I just think he over did it a lil. When I see the word clone, I think of an exact copy. Seems Mike kinda contradicts himself by highlighting the major differences b/w both games. Meh, whatever. I'm just a new fan hoping to hear your views on it. To me, your opinion is more respectable. If not, check out Space Pirates and Zombies. Top down space shooter RPG in beta :)

Hopefully theyll add in online co-op later since Valve has cockblocked Xona Games and their 4 player shmup Score Rush on comming to steam.

Im suprised valve allowed Jamestown on steam considering their aversion to classical Japanese style shmups.

Hey Anthony! I'd love to see you doing a Let's Play series. It could be cool if it was a game you are really good at. You talk about schmups a lot, so maybe one of those? OR something old like Earthbound or Chrono Trigger. It doesn't really matter as long as it's you playin the vidya. :)

I was hoping that you would comment about Jamestown. If this game had online co-op and that one section of stage 5 changed, (If you've played it, you know what I'm talking about.) then I would say that this is a game that needs to come pre installed on every operating system and platform that can run it. As it stands, I'm loving the game and I can't wait to see what final Form does next.

I got Jamestown the first day and everything he says 100% right! The game is absolutely awesome. The difficulty adjust between 5 levels so you can't say it's easy. Buy it now! It is on Steam!
