I'm doing a dissertation and i'm thinking of using some quotes in this video, could you tell me how you came across it so i can prove in writing that it is reliable? Thanks
His generation being the last innocent one? I have a feeling that might be true! I did not feel like anything out of the ordinary was expected out of me when I started school (yes, I know he's discussing more than that), but maybe in comparison to people growing up when he did there was more than met my understanding. I certainly feel like my younger siblings have had way more expected of them academically than me. Knowing all the letters by Kindergarten? wow
Dang it man! It's too bad that he left us. It sounds like he was fully aware of everything from the time he was little till his death. It sounds like he would've been a great, if not FANTASTIC father to his kid. May he rest in peace.
" i felt like ym generation is the last innocent one" - Kurt D. Cobain, R.I.P Kurt, Love You, MIss You Lots, And you was right, our generation sucks D: you were a kinda, lovely wide man, cya in 80 years or so mate
How did he have the symptoms of manic depression? Where is the diagnosis by a professional who actually knew him? Kurt had a warped sense of humor and said things for dramatic effect.
@profaneoneohone where was kurts "sense of humor" and "warped sense" when he talked about being suicidal and depressed??? People dont talk about such things to be humorous. You need serious educating in co occuring disorders and substance abuse. You are out of your league little girl. Stick to the malls and listening to your my chemical romance cd's.
@profaneoneohone what kind of "performance art" piece does a person say they were "manic depressive" at 9 years old? its not coincidental that kurt was manic depressive at 9 and than became addicted to drugs, od several times, went to numerous rehabs, and was found dead (by suicide). All of kurts actions and behaviors fit the traits of a person who at the very least is depressed. I love how you excuse kurt posing with a gun in his mouth or saying he was depressed as performance art.
you know what i like? i like it when there is terrible music being played over an interview so i have to go back and relisten to it and decipher kurts words over the crappy queen song.
He's amazing! I feel I have a certain connection with Kurt unlike anything I've ever felt or anything I've ever experienced.. When the truth comes out about his death everyone else who doesn't believe will then believe, and then Kurt will finally Rest In Peace.. *I love you so much Kurt-one day we'll meet*
I have an ear infection right now so this all just sounds staticy and surreal. I'm not that much of a fan of this guy because I've seen a couple other interviews where he was kind of a smug douche, I know I'll get voted down for that but its the truth. I just feel sorry for his daughter. having two parents addicts & one of them killed himself it's not easy..hope that she won't ''walk on their steps'' and that she has/had at least a bit normal childhood/teenage years.. and kurt was just fucked up, talented man that didn't love anyone, like all the other addicts and so he killed himself cause HE wanted it whole his life as he said so he did it FOR HIMSELF, without caring how it will affect frances bean and all the people and fans that loved him

@RevoSociety Okay, well I want people to lay off Courtney too, but I don't particulary like her. I just think that Kurt loved her and he obviously saw a side of her that we don't. Simple. But its nonsense to blame it on sexism. And frankly, its really cruel to tell people to get a life. @anathema199201 I don't know about his dad, but I do know that his mom is still around. She and Kurt's younger sister, Kimberly, were raising his and Courtney Love's daughter, Frances, up until a few months ago when she turned eighteen.
Sorry, Kurt. Shit happens. Some kids have to deal with their parents getting divorced. Other kids have to deal with their father having killed himself. A lot of shit happens. You have to deal with it and not let it break you. Sorry, Kurt.

@37clarysage Yeah, but he clearly had suicide on his mind before his death. So even though there is so much evidence of murder, its almost completely crossed out by the evidence of suicide.
@182bha He seemed lovely to Frances while Cobain was on this earth. He had psychological and drug-related problems as well as extreme stomach problems. His father was a normal man.
Man I can really relate to Kurt. I felt so foreign from everyone and everything, but Kurt is really similar to me, the world really is small. But yet it feel kind of sad that someone else had to go through the same shit as me, man its pretty messed up out there...
Yeah dude, me to. He's my idol. I grew my hair long because of him and became a 'Grunger'. His music is what you'd listen to on a rainy day. :) He was the voice of the generation.
i dont really take a side on the whole suicide vs. murder thing but i will agree that courtney is a trashy slutty psychocunt who had a hand in causing either
@ApatheticMisanthropy Agreed courtney is a stuck up mother trucker son of a brick building(<-Old people cuss) but coutney ADMITED she would of have got him assinated therefor courty+husband+band=murder attempt
@ApatheticMisanthropy Agreed courtney is a stuck up mother trucker son of a but coutney ADMITED she would of have got him assinated therefor courty+husband+band=murder attempt
I'm not sure whether I believe in his suicide or murder, and I don't think we'll ever know for sure. I used to idolize him, but after reading his journals, I now respect him as a person better. He was a remarkable man with a unique view of the world, and I hope that wherever he is now he has finally attained peace.
Why would Courtney Love kill him? There is no legitimate reason she would, they considered each other soulmates, her fame was directly tied to him, and he loved her completely.
@Grungadin Money/greed is the oldest reason in the world. They had a pre-nup, so if they got divorced Courtney wouldn't have gotten a dime of Kurt's money. But since he died, she inherited everything.
@MazJax: I'm not high 24/7. And I don't go in for conspiracy theories as a rule. This case is different for me. I really feel there was a great injustice done regarding Kurt. Obviously you make a lot of assumptions. Maybe you should just look at the evidence: Cobaincase(dot)com and Justiceforkurt(dot)com.
Win! This judy person is present in every single Cobain video spreading her bullshit and taking gossip as evidence.
So authorities said toxicology results were due in 3 weeks, the Seattle Post Intelligencer publishes a source told them Kurt had 3 times the lethal dose of morphine on April 14th, and you expect me to take that article as evidence? Youre definitely high 24/7.
Judy, the person who tells you to read an essay written by an obsessive Nirvana fan and take it as evidence.
@floppingnoni: Why don't you say that directly to me, coward? If the level of heroin leaked by the official autopsy were wrong Harshorne would have disputed it -- he never did.
kurt thought about suicide since he was a young child. he was fascinated by it & talked with his friends about it all the time. he used to tell all his friends thats how he wanted to die, from suicide.
@humdrumfeast Thats from the book Heavier Than Heaven, which was written by Courtney Love's good friend Charles Cross. Most of the stuff in there is bullshit meant to make Courtney look like the good person in their relationship.
@grungegopher Courtney's dad said that Courtney did kill Kurt so how does that make sense why would he say that she killed him but then say in the book that she was the good one in the relationship? he even admitted in a documentary in 1998 that Courtney was having an affair in London when she was meant to meet Kurt in Rome for his Birthday
Well she cant deny the OBVIOUS- she already admitted that she did heroin when she was pregnant for God's sake! It is called "tell SOME truth in order to slip in lies AND get away with it"!!! Politicians do it all the time!!
@grungegopher She killed him. I have very little doubt now. Courtney is one of "them". "THEY" have an inherent hatred for beautiful and intelligent American and European men and women, PARTICULARLY who have eyes like Kurt's and hair like Kurt's. The idea behind killing national icons like this, or JFK, is to create a collective "trauma" in the public consciousness. Then, while people's minds are in that traumatized state, they insert suggestions...
@grungegopher but in Cross's other book, Cobain Unseen, he leaves Courtney practicaly unnamed. he simply focuses of kurts childhood, the band starting/ getting big, and kurts life crumbling. In this book, atleast, Cross is extremely objective about courtney
@humdrumfeast I haven't read heavier that heaven, but I would think the journals of kurt cobain would be more informative since he actually wrote that.
if any of you here have ever known/taken the currently quite-popular Personality Test called Myers Briggs (MBTI), it is said that Kurt is of an INFP type, and just google "INFP description" to see how very well the description fits with Kurt.
And it's often associated with bipolar, manic depression.
I can totally relate with him, because I'm an INFP myself. and all his words here totally resonate with me. no wonder I"m also the 'odd' one here in this society. I fuckin' hate 'society'.
no one sounds suicidal they just are they dont talk about killing themselves all the time just like a clinically depressed person doesnt talk about being depressed all the time
Doesn't anyone see?!?! Kurt was a hidden intellectual genius!! He was creative and loved others. He felt for others and always considered options and was very conscious of what was going on in the world. He thought at a very high level, a different level, and like me he was just depressed and overwhelmed by his own thought process. His thoughts were so different and unique that he felt different and imperfect, and he tried to escape himself.
@GrungeGodThenNIRVANA: Friends said he was not depressed in 1994. He was not trying to escape himself -- he would not have left his daughter who was the love of his life.
@GrungeGodThenNIRVANA totally agree. and another eye-opener: if you've ever heard/taken a personality test called Myers Briggs (MBTI), Kurt is described as of an "INFP" type (just do google INFP descriptions for more info about how well the description fits with him).
I've also read Michael Jackson is also an INFP type. It's one of the rarest types in the world, hence often making them the 'odd', misunderstood ones, because of his "High Sensitivity" and creative & intelligence. Damn society.
let me mention a few facts;1.the banes of kurt cobain's life was fame, and courtney love.2-he was actually quite content during the last month of his life;friends have actually confirmed that.3-why was he?because he was finally leaving the music industry and CL,which is clear as fuckin day on his supposed "suicide note".i encourage everyone to take a look at the murder conspiracy....there is evidence!if you have any lingering doubt, there's no reason to hesitate.
let me mention a few facts;1.the banes of kurt cobain's life was fame, and courtney love.2-he was actually quite content during the last month of his life;friends have actually confirmed that.3-why was he?because he was finally leaving the music industry and CL,which is clear as fuckin day on his supposed "suicide note".i encourage everyone to take a look at the murder conspiracy....there is evidence!if you have any lingering doubt, there's no reason to hesitate to do so.
it's so great to hear him talk, it comforts me to know that now he's in heaven, and even though i cry about my problems now, it feels good to know that he went through the exact same thing.
I know this might seem odd but if you research the "star children" theory in ufology and metaphysics you'll realize that countless children all claimed almost exactly what Kurt claimed about feeling like literally an alien. Many people during the1960s claimed to have encountered aliens by abduction. I think more people should research this subject seriously
@DillenWilliams ditto totally. I definitely think it also has correlation with being Indigo children, and with specific personality Type like being an INFP of Myers-Briggs (MBTI) personality type, and also belong to HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) group/category.
Life is (& will) never be easy to these 'minority', as this world contains really mostly about greed, dog-eat-dog animalistic society
(and now & then they said "hell no, we're MORE than just animals, and evolution?" ...think again).
Why is there controversy? He committed suicide. Period. It was painful for his family, friends, and fans. He shouldn't have done it but he did. Now, we just have to listen to his music and play it for younger generations so that the music lives on in his stead. May Kurt rest peacefully and play fucking loud wherever he is!
@mary7alaniz: . . . except that there are valid questions about Kurt's death. How could he have shot himself with a 3 times lethal dose of heroin in his system? What part did Courtney play, since he was about to divorce her and she had signed a prenup. Money: the oldest motive for murder there is.
@mary7alaniz you can concoct a conspiracy murder-theory in just about evry suicide ever reported to police, what with dicrepancies and sketchy testimony. There will always be sumone saying 'yea but what about ,this' its their way of keeping Kurt alive I guess in conversation??

RIP Kurt x
VariedLyrics 1 year ago

He was a cute kid.
I'm not sure whether I believe in his suicide or murder, and I don't think we'll ever know for sure. I used to idolize him, but after reading his journals, I now respect him as a person better. He was a remarkable man with a unique view of the world, and I hope that wherever he is now he has finally attained peace.

@ContinualBoredom
Why would Courtney Love kill him? There is no legitimate reason she would, they considered each other soulmates, her fame was directly tied to him, and he loved her completely.
Grungadin 1 year ago
@Grungadin Money/greed is the oldest reason in the world. They had a pre-nup, so if they got divorced Courtney wouldn't have gotten a dime of Kurt's money. But since he died, she inherited everything.

MazJax 1 year ago
@MazJax: I'm not high 24/7. And I don't go in for conspiracy theories as a rule. This case is different for me. I really feel there was a great injustice done regarding Kurt. Obviously you make a lot of assumptions. Maybe you should just look at the evidence: Cobaincase(dot)com and Justiceforkurt(dot)com.
judyleasugar97 1 year ago 4
@MazJax
LOL

kurt thought about suicide since he was a young child. he was fascinated by it & talked with his friends about it all the time. he used to tell all his friends thats how he wanted to die, from suicide.
humdrumfeast 1 year ago
@humdrumfeast Thats from the book Heavier Than Heaven, which was written by Courtney Love's good friend Charles Cross. Most of the stuff in there is bullshit meant to make Courtney look like the good person in their relationship.
grungegopher 1 year ago 102
@grungegopher Courtney's dad said that Courtney did kill Kurt so how does that make sense why would he say that she killed him but then say in the book that she was the good one in the relationship? he even admitted in a documentary in 1998 that Courtney was having an affair in London when she was meant to meet Kurt in Rome for his Birthday
thebeerfest2008 1 year ago 3
@grungegopher: Really? Junkie Courtney certainly doesn't come across as particularly good in that book.
NickB1967 1 year ago 4
@NickB1967
Well she cant deny the OBVIOUS- she already admitted that she did heroin when she was pregnant for God's sake! It is called "tell SOME truth in order to slip in lies AND get away with it"!!! Politicians do it all the time!!
rheuphoric 1 year ago
@grungegopher She killed him. I have very little doubt now. Courtney is one of "them". "THEY" have an inherent hatred for beautiful and intelligent American and European men and women, PARTICULARLY who have eyes like Kurt's and hair like Kurt's. The idea behind killing national icons like this, or JFK, is to create a collective "trauma" in the public consciousness. Then, while people's minds are in that traumatized state, they insert suggestions...
1776Matthew 1 year ago 3
@grungegopher but in Cross's other book, Cobain Unseen, he leaves Courtney practicaly unnamed. he simply focuses of kurts childhood, the band starting/ getting big, and kurts life crumbling. In this book, atleast, Cross is extremely objective about courtney

if any of you here have ever known/taken the currently quite-popular Personality Test called Myers Briggs (MBTI), it is said that Kurt is of an INFP type, and just google "INFP description" to see how very well the description fits with Kurt.
And it's often associated with bipolar, manic depression.
I can totally relate with him, because I'm an INFP myself. and all his words here totally resonate with me. no wonder I"m also the 'odd' one here in this society. I fuckin' hate 'society'.

no one sounds suicidal they just are they dont talk about killing themselves all the time just like a clinically depressed person doesnt talk about being depressed all the time
mmtna 1 year ago
Doesn't anyone see?!?! Kurt was a hidden intellectual genius!! He was creative and loved others. He felt for others and always considered options and was very conscious of what was going on in the world. He thought at a very high level, a different level, and like me he was just depressed and overwhelmed by his own thought process. His thoughts were so different and unique that he felt different and imperfect, and he tried to escape himself.
GrungeGodThenNIRVANA 1 year ago 5
@GrungeGodThenNIRVANA: Friends said he was not depressed in 1994. He was not trying to escape himself -- he would not have left his daughter who was the love of his life.
judyleasugar97 1 year ago 3

DillenWilliams 1 year ago
@DillenWilliams ditto totally. I definitely think it also has correlation with being Indigo children, and with specific personality Type like being an INFP of Myers-Briggs (MBTI) personality type, and also belong to HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) group/category.
Life is (& will) never be easy to these 'minority', as this world contains really mostly about greed, dog-eat-dog animalistic society
(and now & then they said "hell no, we're MORE than just animals, and evolution?" ...think again).

I miss him.....He just had the right views on life.
xemilyxplicitx 1 year ago
Why is there controversy? He committed suicide. Period. It was painful for his family, friends, and fans. He shouldn't have done it but he did. Now, we just have to listen to his music and play it for younger generations so that the music lives on in his stead. May Kurt rest peacefully and play fucking loud wherever he is!
mary7alaniz 1 year ago
@mary7alaniz: . . . except that there are valid questions about Kurt's death. How could he have shot himself with a 3 times lethal dose of heroin in his system? What part did Courtney play, since he was about to divorce her and she had signed a prenup. Money: the oldest motive for murder there is.
judyleasugar97 1 year ago
@mary7alaniz you can concoct a conspiracy murder-theory in just about evry suicide ever reported to police, what with dicrepancies and sketchy testimony. There will always be sumone saying 'yea but what about ,this' its their way of keeping Kurt alive I guess in conversation??
