  • @willztube... been on a US FFG in a typhoon (big seas, gusts to 90kts), but you folks on the smaller vessels tackling that big stuff have my sincere respect. Best. Jim

  • Scary

  • If that man tells you to get down, you fucking get down.

  • Yeah.... If those windows gave, that camera man coulda ended up living with glass as part of his face....

  • Don't watch national television.

Get down. Get the fuck down!

  • captain looks like mahone from prison break

  • jajaja eso fue algo gracioso, los muchachos disfrutan del surf y el capitán pasa un mal rato

  • Hell no!!

  • He certainly looked a bit unwell that captain; a bit white :D

  • Do what now? get down??

  • Im not an expert but wouldnt it be much safer under these circumstances if the wheelhouse was placed on the rear of the boat like most vessels? Fewer chance of damage by waves like this.

  • just think it !!!!

  • The captain is obviously shitting his pants. The look on his face paints a picture of incompetence. This is what happens you get the no hopers doing all the shitty jobs, as the ones with brains and experience usually move on to bigger and better things.

  • @sheetbug incompetence?? lmao dudes been running a fishing vessle probably longer then youve been alive. and ps if you are gunna act smart. atleast sound that way.

  • @havinagoodtimefour20 Luck is always the last refuge of laziness and incompetence

  • @sheetbug lmao you have no clue what you are talking about.

  • @havinagoodtimefour20 As I said earlier.. When a captain panics.....it the first signs of incompetence. I've trainned and taught sea farers for many years, you can sniff out the incompetent ones a mile away. His luck will eventually run out

  • @sheetbug oh please just stfu

  • @prodigy2k7 Wise men speak because they have something to say; fools speak because they have to say something.

  • @sheetbug Idiot.

  • @prodigy2k7 what do you want arse wipe?

  • @sheetbug if you knew anything about the bering sea, or an body of water for that matter, you would know that some things no matter how experienced you are, some things are outta your control. thus the reaon he paniced he didnt see a rogue wave. no one sees rogue waves you fuckin asshat.

  • @havinagoodtimefour20 You are right some things are just out of your control like the fact that you have been born retarded. I will be just wasting my time trying to educate a retard.

  • @sheetbug lmao ya a great answer from someone with nothing to say.

  • @sheetbug ps so you mean to tell me the pilot who landed the plane in the hudson bay, wasnt lucky. ya because planes land in teh water and stay together routinely no matter the cirumstances. wow penny was a douche btw.

  • hahahahhahahah sig

  • im captain of sea vesell in iceland and this is just a drop in the sea what u can get in icelandic seas!!!

  • нервный мужик!

  • the true fear of a very expert captain..

  • Good old Sig, smoking a cigar while powering through a storm.

  • When that guy panics you know you're in trouble...

  • he the only capt iv ever heard tell it like it is, head into the wave then trottle up, every other vid i see of a ship hittin waves is a total ashhole these guiys got balls of steel!!! did ya see the true fear of a man there? wholy shit i think iwould of shit my pants, god bless you all!

  • years ago the pilot boat for The Rip in Bass Strait, Australia, had its windows blown in by a suspected rogue wave and both pilots found dead in the wheelhouse still harnessed in their seats. this boat was very capable and had extreme bullet and blast proof glass installed around the cockpit. the pilot boat had twin v12 diesels and everyone in town knew when it started up. seas in Bass Strait can exceed 20m and its very tidal with shorter troughs. Sig was right to duck here. it happens for real.

  • @1AussieAvenger1 -- Because of your post I did some reading about the The Rip. Good lord, if mariners don't enter that body of water with a healthy dose of respect, they are asking for trouble.

  • @85iceman hi, i dont know much of other places but The Rip is definitely to be respected as with Bass Strait. ive been out in both and can say ive never been more scared in all my life. at the change of tide there can be around a 3ft wall of water difference to negotiate in the mouth of the rip. its like a stationary wave. depth goes from average of 6m to a skinny trench 190+m deep (if i remember right). great to watch fishing boats trolling the trench or big ships going in and out.

  • 00:42 FLYING NORTH WESTERN!

  • @jamieiscool123123 classic "i believe i can fly!!" momment xD

  • sweet fucking bajesus

  • In the North Sea the waves could reach 30 meters (100 ft) in a real size storm.

  • holly molly!

  • That's why I did all my crab fishing in the Bering on schooners (wheel house aft). I knew a guy who was on the Royal Viking (house forward) when they lost the wheel house windows and he was up against the electrical panel Salt Water plus High Voltage = ELECTROCUTION. Get out the sheets of plywood boys and forget the autopilot. We took a wave that big on a 160' trawler outside of Akutan you drop down in the trough and the mastlight 35' high is staring into a wall of water it's an OH SHIT moment.

  • Balls. All these dudes have balls the size of planets. Jesus...

  • I'd be like, "FILM THAT MOTHER***s show that to them homies in tv land. Fishing is the most dangerous carrer

  • That was incredibly anti-dramatic.

  • At 0:39.... you pussy.....

  • it`s not the same sea!

  • Comment removed

  • HAHAHAHHAHA

  • Deadliest catch should be renamed to Desperate catch in the way they make a drama out of it!

soon it will be as ridiculous to watch as iceroad truckers or that worthless show about american drunkards drilling for oil

  • Chihuahua is the best dog.

  • This series has been completely ruined by the pathetic way the directors/producers now over dramatize everything,Sig is taking the piss,Ive watched the thing from day 1 and thats the first time hes ever hidden under the wheel. The opening credits where Frankie is covered in blood only to later find its fish blood, the pretend fight between Wizard captain and camera crew, what a load of bollocks. All the crews have had enough of this bullshit and have left the show, thanks for fucking it all up.

  • @councilglasses I would have done the same as him there. Like jnlaf pointed out, he is standing right behind the windows wich are at the front of the ship. If a wave like that comes you might well get your windows blown in and a face full of razor sharp bits of glass. Not the ideal thing to happen when you are out in a storm. So, you duck. No over dramatizing there.

As for the rest, it's TV.

  • @XCougar85X Thats because your a pussy

  • Only in USA land... biggest waves.. biggest Ovnis.. all things are better in Usa land...

Visit Cabo de Hornos and then think.... again

  • i would of just siad well its time to die

  • lol.

"Get down! Get the fuck DOWN!!"

    " Wooohooooo"

  • ... as winey modern society everywhere sits at a buffet table eating crab this happens.

  • thats what really happened in the movie "the perfect storm"

  • wow Direct TV was to far off from their location.

  • Who the hell is following this ship?

  • @rearock12 two pakis in a rubber raft. they work hard for little pay.

  • @rearock12 Ha Ha Thats Me in My Kayak.

  • @rearock12 Chuck norris

  • @rearock12 a crazy dude

  • @rearock12 a row boat

  • aptains shitting them and thecrews like wooohooo lmao ! mad basterds lol

  • 200ft wave keep working there or you get fired.

  • lmao imagine Arnold Schwarzenegger had that line , uh watch out- get down get the f down now

  • lol real roller-coast ride

  • Might be a good time for a man to re assess his priorities,

such as "I'm out here riskin my life in this sh*t just so some

rich people can eat damn FRIGGIN' CRABS?!"

  • Oh i love how all the tv-voice actors sounds all dramatic.. "Directly... in the line.. of fire..."

  • We need a bigger boat.

  • pfffffffffff

    from Russian north sailors

  • he was in the cabbing, those guys were outside, pussy

  • You know shits about to hit the fan when a seasoned ship captain tell you to get the fuck down :O That is some seriously scary shit, they have all my respect.

  • tumbs up if u saw the auzzie surfer at 0.38 ha ha

  • that knocked the barnacles off

  • Comment removed

  • fake

  • Get down for what captain ?? You're in a pilothouse, not a center console.

  • @Rastamut He yelled get down cause wave can and have come right through the pilothouse,,,you get down so you are not hit by the glass/wave....I've done 30yrs on most all kind ship...and more then once the window were blowed out by waves and when that happen most often you lose all electronics,,,that's why you get down

  • @Rastamut he yelled get down because waves can and have come through the windows.you get down so you don't get hit by the wave and glass,,,I've done 30yrs at sea work on most all type of ships and more then once the windows were blown in and most time the electronic are fried,,,that's why you get down

  • IS THE TRUTH!!!!

  • @jnlaf I think the camera man thought get down meant doing the Michael Jackson dance.

  • 0:40 camera man is shitting bricks

  • Очканул)).

  • At 1:05 how do they film it?

  • @maskenmakkan They are running another boat next to the boat that they makes the series about..

  • "Get the Fuck down!"

  • @GuyKenniffPuls thanks for typing what was in the vid, dummy.

  • @kenfo0 What?

  • @GuyKenniffPuls holy crap you're dumb. Please be quiet until you understand what is going on around you, and that no one needs the video transcribed (look that word up).

  • @kenfo0 shut the fuck up you inbred. Your just jealous that i got 28 likes faggot.

  • @GuyKenniffPuls You're (not your you dumbass]) just jealous that Australia is an insignificant country that no one cares about. Why don't you get back in your 'ute and go fuck a wallaby.

  • @airadam777 haha its funny because we are actually one of the best countries to live in due to the fact we're not in a ression. And I have never seen a wallaby and not much people here have utes.

  • @GuyKenniffPuls Boy, if you're really as stupid as you sound, then you Aussies had better start worrying about the future. 'Cause them ressions (sic) are contagious. G'day, mate.

  • @airadam777 now your just embarrassing yourself, can't believe this is all over you being jealous of my comment that got heaps of likes

  • @airadam777 Nah see we dont give home loans to people who live in trailer parks..

  • @airadam777 how do I sound stupid? your the one saying Australia is a insignificant country when nearly everyone here has jobs.. Your the one jealous over a comment I wrote on here that got heaps of likes so you started arguing with me. Look at yourself, your pathetic.

  • @airadam777 Insignificant country? has one of the highest currencies in the world, lowest unemployment and strongest exports in the world as well as one of the highest interest rates in the world - cos we can afford it.

  • @jonrad5 Perhaps you've been knocked on the head a few too many times by all your boxing lovers. Without Foster's and Steve Irwin, no one would have any idea ya'll existed.

  • @airadam777 you can't really buy Fosters in Australian pubs (your a victim of marketing there).. i guess noones heard of Hugh Jackman, Mel Gibson, AC/DC, Tom Carroll, INXS, Heath Ledger, Nicole Kidman, Russel Crowe, Mark Webber, Paul hogan, kangaroos etc etc

  • @jonrad5 you forgot Yahoo Serious :))

  • lol he thought the windows were coming out for sure

  • Are there recordings without the annoying beeps ?

  • I love the comments of everyone. 'Pussies' is what they call these men... If I had my way, I'd put each one of them on one of these boats for 24 hours, at LEAST... We'd see whose a pussy then.

  • I'm workin as a chef in the North Sea west of Norway - I will tell ya, I've been cookin in 45-60 feet waves. And yes, more than once..

December -11 I experienced more than 10 days of 30-60 feet waves and winds at up to 72 knots..The rest of them days we had not less than 6-10 feet waves..

  • GET DOWN!! GET THE FUCK DOWN!! lol pussy ive experienced worse than that and we were just chilling/watching tv XD

  • @ultimatebeunhaas Pics or it didn't happen

  • @KillWithFire12 its on my channel ;)

  • how would i go about getting a job fishing these sea's?

  • I've fished in this kind of weather for alot less money, and alot less stardom lol

  • I'm not going out there.

  • It looked very set up, like they took shots of a big wave, then took shots of the captain bracing for a big wave and tried to make things seem more interesting.

  • He'll terry

  • Press 1: Dick hanson

    Press 3: A jew

    Press 5: Get dah *Beep*

Press 0 then 9:forty miles to cameraman

  • He got scared from this wave?hahaha omg

  • It would have seemed worse had there not have been a couple of guys on the back outside going weee hoo wooo hooo and laughing at the end lol

  • line of fire? really?

  • @Mishkafofer sure its a line of fire!!!! being hit by that fuckin wave can smash all the wheel house not only the glass of it ,,,and you are in doubt if its not a line of fire!!!!

  • he should be saying get the fuck off my boat u the damn camera guy on the deck he must have hade his brain replaced with a retard to be on that whe it happened

  • lol get the fuck down woohoo

  • i used to be a dramatic fisherman just like Sig, but then i took an arrow to the knee

  • @howarethingsindenver Go press number buttons...just about as dumb ;)

  • Those kinds of seas are tough on big merchantmen too. We just stem them and check back. But a small vessel like a crabber has to be extremely careful in them, that's for sure. Yes, a large wave can blow out your pilothouse windows... If you don't get shredded, you stll have lost all your electronic nav aids and radios probably as well... No good :)

  • remeber seening this episode XD I THOUGHT HOLY F*****************K!!

  • Love this series /Sweden.

  • if sid is paranoid they must be fucking scary!!

  • Yes I know and your right, Ive been there and done that try fishing in a 45ft steel boat on the Union Seamount which s about 200 miles offshore from Brookes Penisula Vancouver Island in Hurricane force winds when its consistenly blowing 60knots with gusts probably to 80 knots top speed recorded at that time at the closest weather station was wind gusts up to 98 knots . I was just meaning Sig tiredness overtook him on that one thats all I dont think that one was wheelhouse lifter .

  • sig looks alittle stressed and overeacted id say .

  • @turner593 Stressed yes, overacted? slightly but not much. Large waves can hit the wheelhouse and break the windows out, even if they're bulletproof, and if that happens, if you're sitting there behind the windows, you're dead. It's not much of a problem on boats with rearward wheelhouses like the wizard or time bandit though.

  • Over-dramatized piece of shit.

  • SIG ROCKS!!!!!

  • @galaticspacehero i can already see tht from your name on youtube that you are underaged. you have no idea. survival suits are NOT for pussys, people that are not wearing any life vests or survival suits is just completely straight up dumb.

  • Dear the producers of this show - please do not make out that it is an impossible task to navigate through this weather or that this much drama is needed. If these guys are professionals but come into so much trouble during their journeys, then the boat that follows them to film them must be amazing. Either that or they don't like to complain as much.

  • I could not handle life as a fisherman. I guess that means I'm sane!!

  • wtf :/ all they did was film a tall wave... not like it actually crashed into the boat. fake and gay >:(

how did this get so many thumbs up?

  • sigs a drama queen hahahaha

  • this was analyzed on after the catch

  • 35 ft ? ? ?

that wave is waaaay bigger than 35ft.

  • i think we have a new nominee for biggest douche in the universe award

  • 0:37 whuts that orange thing inthe watar?

  • @vogelbekdier97 Its a buoy/trip/scotchman

  • If I'm on sigs boat and he tells to get down, I would get the fu@k down.

  • "...and the cameraman directly in the LINE OF FIRE!!!" Line of fire??? or line of water???? huahauhahuahaa

  • hahahhaha, the cameraman is far more brave than captain, cameraman wanted to continue filming while the captain had already been hidden under the control console of the boat, ahhahahah, that was funny, "get the fucking down"!! hahahaha, :)

  • @carloko08 Brave or didn't realize the danger he was in? Water could have staved in the glass and thrown them around the wheelhouse or the uptake could have launched him head first into the ceiling hard enough to crack his skull. But blissfully unaware isn't bravery.

  • @carloko08 It's not about being brave, it's about knowing the hell a huge wave like that can unleash on the boat..

  • @carloko08 nah, his just stupid as hell.

  • When is there coming new seasons??? From Denmark

  • @WestcoastBanger It usually comes out early to mid April. So I wouldn't expect another season till April 2012. But it has been confirmed for a 8th season atleast :)

  • @Sinreiz sweeeett!!!!!

  • @WestcoastBanger Europe is usually late when it comes to American shows.

    Greetings from Norway ;)

  • @WestcoastBanger Haha er du dansker... Jeg ser også Livsfarlig Fangst, og så også den her afsnit...:D

  • @WestcoastBanger April

  • @WestcoastBanger april 12 2012 for us in the states

  • They have Satiilite/ bouys now that show 100 foot waves are common . thats just 35 ? surfer can get out there and ride

  • @GalaticSpaceHero Sure..only problem is that, the Bering Sea will kill you in a couple minutes unless you have a survival suit.

  • @Sinreiz survival suites are for pussys

  • @GalaticSpaceHero Lol. Call me crazy but I'd like to live :P

  • @Sinreiz You probably could make alot money as consultant to the crab industry by having aboat that vedios and finds the crab migration bfo te botsg out there so there not wasting there time looking for them and putting traps where there isant anything. You would think they would have spotted and know where there at so your not wasting time and lives bobing around in 35 foot waves . Boat with winch and vedio camera at the end , finding where there at . so you bettter your returns and money

  • @GalaticSpaceHero Youre a real special kind of asshole!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @Sinreiz livings for pussys

  • @GalaticSpaceHero Well im sure youre wearing 2 right now then!!!

  • @GalaticSpaceHero You've ever been out on the sea? In a storm? I think not.. Otherwise you would say so.

  • @GalaticSpaceHero hmm...whatabout learning more English before dealing with the Death? Let's see how a pussy like you deal with a 1-2 Celcius Deg without survival suit.

  • @GalaticSpaceHero Can only imagine how many times you've worked a deck. I'm guessing, zero times, to zero times.
