I sung this for the 2006 Lee Honor Choir (Before performing in All-State later the semester) and had the privilege of meeting Mr. Stroope who directed the choir that year. This is my absolute favorite choral arrangement. I get shivers every time I hear it. ;-)

no offense... but this isn't very well balanced near the beginning. you can't hear the alto part at all, and the sopranos are way overpowering.

I was here! I would be right behind that music stand. I was a tenor (and still am). This song was by far the best! It sent chills down my spine singing it. Greg was the best conductor ever! That Loonie lady that we had this year was no where near as good as him.

It is weird, because a lot of All-State choruses did a lot of the same songs. I wonder how that happens? For instance, the GMEA Senior Mixed chorus did Richtte Mich Gott, and so did like three other groups.

This is absolutely amazing!! I participated in the Seinor Mixed Chorus this year, and I must say that the Sapranos were much better than ours. Not a single note was flat, but in our Halleleujah, our pitch suffered. Nice Job middle schoolers!

If you look up a peice called Ding-a Ding-a Ding, that this same choir performed, you'll be listening to a peice that more than qualify's our director as much more than an idiot. He wrote that peice, on an airplane ride. if you're going to insult people, I'd suggest you do your research first.

I was not in the choir, I performed Onmia Sol at my school, and I am not saying what grade I am in, it is not relevant. Cherry Hill High School West NJ. And there were mistakes made that any conductor should have corrected!

I'm just saying that a middle school chorus did this, and they did an excellent job. You are still wrong for calling their director an idiot though! Sometimes, things do not always go according to plan, and that's just life. This was very good!
