what i dont like about my nokia is the way that the firmware is released country to country not to everyone at the same time.. also u cant add another 32GB the nokia n97 allows up to 16GB extra for a total of 48GB... it would be ncie if it let u put another 32gb haha..also the touch screen is not very sensative when u use ur fingers

The stereo speakers are by far the biggest disappointment on the phone. Anybody coming from an N95 will definitely notice a drastic change for the worse. Nokia tuned them to work great for voices but they don't sound very good at all with music playing and they're nowhere near as loud as the N95. I confirmed that the first day I got it. Size isn't the problem either, Nokia just... screwed up I guess.

Bestillmyheart- You're right and I hope your assessment on the phone doesn't translate into me not liking it. I was like that at first with the iPhone but after a couple updates I was please with the phone. Hopefully that is the situation at hand with the N97. More importantly Nokia listening to its users and making the necessary adjustments. The phone has potential minus the processor and RAM. Possibly Nokia update the OS for greater improvements? Only time will tell.

i got this phone this past weekend and got a sick deal for $190 (new 2 year contract with Tmobile). I took it out of the store and started playing with it but to be honest i hated it after 15 mins. of using it. The keyboard bothered me and i wasn't all that keen on the interface. I returned it and exchanged it for the G1. I know it may sound like a downgrade but i'm absolutely loving my G1 right now...so much more user friendly in my opinion and the apps are amazing. But to each their own.

I got mine the same day it was released on the U.S, did you all get the same problem with the lock key slider? I have to pull it twice for the lcd light to come on....when I pull on it once, it unlocks but the lcd does not light up untill I pull it again....is it a software or hardware issue?

I believe it was a software issue, this suppose to be fix in the new firmware update that was released a few weeks ago.

I'm still pondering if i need the N97 or will the 5800xm suffice. Mobile IRC(putty+irssi or mirggi)) is fun as well as gps, browsing etc features. Software keyboard is pretty good, but not very user friendly if you have active content you want to see while you type. The 5800xm feels a bit cheap and has limited storage and the new symbian really does look aged.

Yeah they sell them on eBay, just type in Nokia n97 and buy from a seller by the name of E-CELL, they have over 300,000 feedback, you dont want to buy from someone just joined, theyre selling both colours, sim free, pay as you go for £445.00, but by christmas i reckon £350
