It sounded great without the cover, a little more open but with the cover it still sounds fantastic.
Since this recording i´ve managed to destroy the bridge pickup accidently while trying to convert it to a 4-conductor pickup, i only have the neck pickup left and it´s the best one i ever had in my Les Paul.
This recording wasn´t the best either, cheap headset mic infront of the amp
I have one of these in the bridge of my tele, and it's wonderful. It's the most versatile pickup I've ever heard (but that's just my two-cent, humble opinion).
