IMO, Montoya had Schumi's speed, just not the consistency. But when Montoya was on a good day, especially when he was at Williams, he sometimes pulled some amazing stuff out of he bag. Amazingly opportunistic there, great stuff. :)
Fortunately for him, Raiddilion had the new tarmac run-off. It is was prior to that, he'd had to good a bit through the gravel, which wouldn't be as easy.
Incidentally, this was the Spa start that had a multi-car pile-up at Eau Rouge.
