The sad part is that it doesn't have a lot of power mods, unless you swap the engine to KLZE. Hard to even put a turbo since it's a tight space. So it's now just my winter beater. I now have the MKV GTI, now that car is fast.

your throw out bearing is why its crawling forward while revvin and grinding your clutch isnt fully disengaging. and dont rev it to the limiter in neutral you'll float your valves, if i were you since your k8's smoking id spend 400 on a klde (probe gt motor) at a wreckers and swap it in when you do the clutch,etc. it bolts in all the wires hook up to the same sensors bolt -in 164 hp
Sold it cuz it cause the clutch ended up breaking, and the cv joints were goin out. Sold it for $1000 to my dumb neighbor tho, was all rusty too after the first winter i had it. I will for sure own another MX-3 in my life, because i loved this one so much.

i didnt take it out, you replace it with a "test pipe" for offroad use only, but whos stoppin me? lol. Go to ebay and look type in Mx3 test pipe, cheap 20-30$'s and will make ur car sound like a beast
When i first bought the car i could shift fine. Then after about 2 weeks i had a hard time shifting gears, clutch doesnt slip at all, just wont go into gear. When im giving it full throttle shifting out of 1st into 2nd, it just grinds. thus the slow shift in the vid, ill post another one showin my problem, hopefully somone can help me. Car shop says my clutch is going out, yet ive driven over 6000 miles on this apparently bad clutch. IF IT AINT BROKE, DONE FIX IT!
If u payed close attention u can tell that my car has a hard time shifting. At the beggining of the vid my car goes foward about a foot, thats with the clutch all the way in and in 1st gear. And at 1:53-1:55 in the video u can hear the grind. hard to shift fast when ur shits broke. so dont assume im a "bad driver"

restricting gasses decreases power, removing that increases power, not by much though, probly only 5-10 horsepower if your lucky

its a straight pipe from the exhaust manifold to back of the car, thats why its so loud. Got 2 loud exhaust tickets in this car.
