I still can't get over this opening. The jurors concluded that the person they were sending to death was, for lack of a better word, insane...and why the fuck were they doing that unless they were discussing his diminished capacity or his legal defense of insanity, at which point they would be be deciding to NOT send him to his death. They would not conclude he was nuts and then send him off to be killed. Did these shithead filmmakers ever see a single episode of Law & Order?

Before I watch this movie, I want to see how the producers are setting it up; Someone was put to death for the crimes of Leatherface, and that someone happened to have a split personality with one of the personalities being a 'Leatherface' persona (what are the chances of that -- a trillion to one?). But if anyone is going to get killed in this flick, I am guessing they got the wrong guy. So somebody was killed by the state with no physical evidence, no living witnesses...etc.

So, the 1986 Chainsaw 2 events never happened. Okayyyy. "Leatherface" was referred to as "Bubba" multiple times in Chainsaw2, but now his initials are "W.E.", and SOMEONE was allegedly killed in a gas chamber for his crimes (what movie did THAT happen in?), BUT the jury sent a man to death because there was an 'unapprehended killer' out there SO WHY NOT GET SOME REVENGE ON SOME HAPLESS HALFWIT WALKING DOWN THE STREET. WHAT THE FUCK??? I MEAN, FUCK, DOES ANYONE READ THIS SHIT?

@polina379 Yes, this film completely ignores the events of part 2. Interestingly enough though, Caroline Williams' character Stretch from part 2 makes a cameo appearance here as a reporter on the trail of Leatherface. The fourth film is basically a sendup of the first film and shouldn't be taken seriously at all and i enjoyed it for what it was.

the original movie did its marketing job well in making millions of people THINKING this was real. The movie was INSPIRED not based on the actions of ED gein just like Psycho and silence of the lambs. Ed Gein never killed that many people. he killed 2 or 3 the most but used the dead bodies the same way Leatherface uses them in the original movie. i love the movies like crazy but not real events.

He was based on the movies Psycho, Silence of the Lambs, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Though I wouldn't doubt that there is someone who tries to be like and act like Leatherface.

So this movie does not follow the ending of the 2nd one? I thought the ending to the second one would imply that the main heroine Stretch (yes that's her name) would become the new Leatherface due to her insane screaming while dancing with a chainsaw like LF did. He was even killed off at the end (he was blown up AND impaled by a chainsaw). Kinda reminds me of the Halloween 4 ending where Jamie was in Michael Myers' pose, and Michael was supposedly killed off too.
