@AdamVagiles That's because it didn't happen to your people. How are you gonna tell us to let it go when you don't let it go? Every black person is not a thug. I don't sell drugs or use drugs, I don't have a prison record, and personally, I don't give a damn if O.J. did it or not. Why can't we just enjoy the music instead of all this racial nonsense?
@soulfulman1971 how the hell are you supposed to tell me i dont let it go? i dont know if you read my comment before you replied but not once did i say ever say all black people were thugs and i dont know who the fuck you are so i sure as hell didnt say you were a thug or you sold or use drugs. my comment is saying people just need to stop holding a fucking grudge about something that didnt even happen to them and just live their life so yeah i am saying let it go.
@AdamVagiles I read you post from before. That's why I responded. What I said to you may have been over the top, but I meant what I said. I'm tired of whites telling us blacks to "let it go" when we are still being discriminated against. However, I didn't get on this page to talk about that. I'm here because I love Ain't No Sunshine.
@soulfulman1971 okay yeah there still is a some discrimination going on but its not just for black people and people are really messed up for having any racism at all. these days black people have everything white people have and they are considered equal. i mean the president of the united states is black and there are many succesful black people like there is succesful white people and any other race for that matter...
@AdamVagiles and today any black person has the opportunity to be or do anything they want in this world. im sorry if you get offended by this but i see everyone as equals and by people being upset about all that slavery and stuff that went on when nobody on this earth was alive for then obviously they dont see themselves as equals. so by not letting it go all people are doing is carrying on those memories and times and making things harder for everyone.

I think the negro people are the only ones who know what pain and hurt really is. I mean as far as being kiddnapped and sold into slavery. What a few whites did was a shame and the people who are at fault ought to have there thingys cut off or be hung by them....Rebecca
@revup67 You are right. I am sorry. I didn't think about the Jewish. The reason I didnt name them is because I have never heard of the jewish having (soul). In fact I haven't heard of a jewih person being a singer? Please correct me if I am wrong....Thank you for your remark....Rebeccanne
@rebbeccanne Sorry but your music limitations are rather apparent. Let's start with Amy Winehouse. A white Jew that sang soul. You can also sort through this list of blue-eyed soul singers (jewish or not) to take you out of the stereo typical mind set that only blacks can sing soul (go to wikipedia and search blue eyed soul - there's hundreds
@revup67 go easy ... seems pretty obvious that the span of fact is limited, but also that rebecanne noticed the suffering ... @rebbeccanne there are many classes/groups who have suffered and *i* think that one of the things that makes this music beautiful is that it doesnt claim suffering for one goup, but sings freedom from suffering for all groups based on that understanding
@zazunzas - yes I would agree however this song is about a love suffering (nothing else), not whiplash or a lynching which is how it was portrayed by rebecca. She publicly sunk herself especially on her second comment with the Jewish community creating her own self destruction with or without any other user commentary.
@rebbeccanne This is the stupidest thing I've seen on Youtube. No black alive in America has experienced slavery, and to try to say that they have is to say that we in the U.S. are continuing slavery. You are obviously a child, as your comment had little to no foresight or thought behind it. Bad things have happened in the past, but we ALL have to get over it. Read further into history, atrocities occur all the time to all sorts of different people, blacks don't have a lock there.
@rebbeccanne Your a weird person... First of all "negro people" sounds a bit offensive but that's just me. And plenty of people have suffered, the Jewish race like revup mentioned, Americans and other prisoners of war caught by Japan in ww2 were used as medical experiments and were dissected ALIVE, the Japanese, Chinese and alot of Asian peoples because of natural disasters. Everyone suffers and their are soul artists in every nation, don't be so close minded. You also sounded a bit racist.
@rebbeccanne yeah black people knew pain and hurt like 200 years ago when that shit was going on but thats all over and theres no need in dragging it on. these days they have the same pain everybody else has. and the people that were at fault for all that are all dead now so nobody has to get their "thingys" cut off.
@rebbeccanne What a few whites did? Negro people? That's your way of being sympathetic? Well, fuck you very much. How about African people? With all that adversity against us, we still rise.
@rebbeccanne before you said that dumbass statement, do you know that alot of the blacks sold to slavery ina frica were by other blacks. did you know that rebecca?
@rebbeccanne that is an extremely ignorant statement, speaking for other people and how much suffering they have endured, as though it is some measure of character, shows how little you know about society and music
@brnoamik The world cherishes when people like @brnoamik publicly display their complete and total ignorance and stupidity. We hereby certify that @brnoamik is officially and indelibly stamped the YouTube buffoon of the day award. Congratulations.

This is a beautiful heartfelt classic. It does fit the bill, my GF. broke up w/me on Valentine's Day, 2011, still somewhat crushed. Now that she's gone, she had taken the sun w/her. @GamerGuy320 I've been there - shakes, crying, can't sleep..I know first hand. The worst thing I did was dwell on this. Best advice - keep focused, look ahead and don't turn back. There are better things waiting for you as I later found out. It is imperative you keep your composure and stay strong and keep your enjoyment level higher than usual with friends and family..this too shall pass.
@GamerGuy320 that's excellent to hear. I wrote a song about this crap. It was called Never Again - search revup67 Never Again on youtube. The words are probably hard to hear but they go; "I got the impression that you carried my heart, under the assumption that we'd never depart, so WHY did you hurt me and cause me this pain get out of my life don't you do it again. Now I know just where I stand I got myself together yeah I'm back in command..no never, no never again" etc.
@GamerGuy320 "Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever."
-Lance Armstrong.
Pain is natural. It's how you deal with that pain that makes you who you are. If you just give up trying to get over it, then it'll never go away. I don't know what else to say.
