  • 91% of engineeers are still men. 30% of engineering degrees go to women but many of them quit engineering. A college degree is bullshit if you don't do something useful with it. I've known plenty of people whose degree was worthless and it didn't help them get a decent job. Men still make more money than women. I still think men are more capable and harder working than women overall in spite of all the feminist bullshit propaganda.

    i actually believe that most women that hold an bachelor in engieering quit it..first off bachelor in engineering is hardly engineering, the real engineering starts at the master level. Bachelor materials is a joke. Second,i do believe that really large % of female don't continue on to occupy engineering, they may drift to engineering management in roder to think of themselves as engineers.Men are almost all of humanity upon which it sustains itself, not the same thing 4 women.

I can earn a Degree, then work at McDonalds if I want to. So it's not about some piece of paper you get at the end of you education, its what you DO WITH IT.. and that's where Men Excel. That's why most degrees earned by women are Art and English degrees, and degrees earned by Men are Science and Physics. its why Engineers are dominantly MEN

  • I think the chick in the video is pretty cool. It's nice seeing a girl who doesn't hate guys and acknowledges that gender discrimination isn't one sided. There's a lot of bad stuff we guys do, there's not doubt of that. And it has to be addressed. But I've heard too many girls say sexist stuff against guys or do all these little things that belittle guys and get away with it because they are female and any male speaking out against them must be dismissed because guys do bad stuff too.

How about you look into what students directly out of college in our major cities are making? Young women are making more than men for the same work with the same degree. Fair?

You said women make less money than men which are not true if you sort out career choices, work experience, number of hours worked per month etc. In most cases the differences are so small they are neglectable. In some line of works women actually is paid more when everything is equaled out.

  • It's fun for women to support the men's rights movement because they love the male attention they get from it. But I doubt you'd risk hostile backlash from other women by speaking about it in real life and I doubt you'd ever let go of your privilege.   • Most managers are women? What planet are you from? I've been in the work force for decades and NEVER have I seen more managers or supervisors that were female! Also, what are men protecting us from?

My handler, is a women, she preps my dossier for contracts as I prepare for deployments to participate in Cultural Support and Regional Stability Projects in conflict zones in the Private Security Contracting firm I work for. I don't know if you forgot or just didn't see on the news, but men running up 100's of flight of stairs on 9/11. See ya.

  • @11220joe There are NOT more managers than supervisors in the U.S. I suppose you must have missed that big lawsuit against Wal-mart, you know one of the biggest retailers in America, for passing over women who deserved to be appointed as supervisors and gave them to men instead?   • btw, it's so laughable -- yet frustrating at the same time-- to still hear people say something like "there's still the pay gap" NO! There is no pay gap based on discrimination (or at least, it's a very tiny %). The pay gap is the result of women working less hours, less dangerous jobs that have "hazard" pay/nightime premiums, etc. They take more vacation time and parental leave (men aren't allowed anywhere near the time women can take off) and work part-time more. That's why there's a pay gap.

  • @unfortunatebeam Exactly, women take the sum total of hours worked then compare pay with their male co-workers and say 'hey that's not fair', yet they're still employed under the same equal terms. It's like a part-timer claiming unequal pay to a full-timer lol. And it goes to show how unappreciative women are considering the perks and flexibilities they get.

    When you see 'women closing the pay gap' tripe, it should really read 'women working more hours'.

  • I don't know about women being most of the managers, but everything else sounds about accurate. We need to END all affirmative action immediately as it's no longer morally justified or fair to preferentially hire women over men when they are already the majority. And men need jobs more than women.

    There is of course downsides for women here. For example, male heart attack rates have always been much higher, but females are catching up. No doubt feeling just how stressful the professions can be.

    Personally I've yet to find, and experience, hard evidence of this myth. Men and women are employed under equal terms, check any job advertisement. Any gender specific pay advertised? Read your contract and pay terms and find me a gender specific term or condition.

  • As a girl, I completely agree! I remember watching a YouTube video of President Obama talking about women's rights in this country. He talked about how great it was that more women go to college than men. I just thought, "Well doesn't that mean we need to start some college scholarships for men?"

    The New York Times will publish an article like "In College, Women are Leaving Men in the Dust!" then the following week publish articles bemoaning the fact that most degrees attained by women don't pay well (wait, I though college degrees meant [women > men]?) and that men with high school degrees still make more than most women after five years in the work force.

Not to mention, college degrees don't have the high import that they used to have in the past. The damage feminism has caused in the West is irrevocable.   • And while there may be instances where women are discriminated against for their vag (example of the prejudice: "A woman can't do the job as good as a man")... There are probably plenty of instances where unqualified women get jobs over men based on their vag (example of the bias in favor of women: "Who cares if she sucks at the job? She's nice to look at.") And I think it evens out. It may 'even out' for the wrong reasons, but it still evens out, thus nullifying the 'wage gap'.

  • And so it comes down to the possibility of there being discrimination in hiring. But I think it's really a job-by-job, case-by-case basis. There are some jobs where men would be dicriminated against more than women (school teachers and shit like that). And so it's not women being discriminated against in all areas of the workforce. But certainly some areas I can see it existing. But I'd say that it's hardly an epidemic. And definitely not the main reason for the gap.

  • And by work choices, I mean... Women choose to work less hours. They choose less overtime. They choose lower paying jobs. They choose to have children, and that effects their ability to get promotions etc etc. Maybe they wouldn't choose these things if society encouraged them to take the higher paying jobs etc. But I think society has done an adequate job of encouraging women... They just simply prefer what they've been doing.

  • While women may not earn as much as men, they have more net worth... Meaning... They have more money to spend. And that's exactly what they do. They spend the majority of money in the U.S. And while they do make less than men (past the age of 30; they make more than men when both sexes are in their 20s), much of that can be explained by their own work choices. It's possible that there's some slight discrimination. I don't rule it out. But a lot of it points to things other than discrimination.

  • Appreciate the fact that you support men's rights...and the article is interesting, though I don't think it even mildly encompasses a true reflection of the deficiency of men's rights. It seems more geared towards celebrating women's rise vs men in a rather veiled "HA-HA" directed towards men...or at least that's my opinion.

    After all, it virtually avoids the judicial gap altogether...and that is the most OBVIOUS example of institutional misandry in the Western world!
