To anyone who would like a picture of any animal- the simplest way to get a picture of an animal is to find someone that asks you to get alot of things for them. (ex. they collect white furniture, fish, etc.) If you give these certain animals in your town (they vary from town to town) the things that they ask for, and if they ask for them frequently, you will end up recieving their pic more quickly. @Turbosonic98, I never really got an animal's picture that I was really excited about. I got the pics of people like Friga, so it kinda sucked. I'm glad that you got the picture you wanted!

It varies, as long as the person doesn't move and you talk to them from time to time. Just be nice to them and sooner or later you get it.
