I need to know if it's one of the games in this series that has a part where a giant clown head chases you and you shoot it's tongue to kill it? I've been looking for that particular part of this game but haven't found it. If it is this game (or one of the series) could someone please tell me?
first of all, it's not a clown head, it's a boss called justice that is basically a monster with 4 arms. second, it's called house of the dead 4 on arcades not on systems yet. you're welcome
That was it! I have been looking for that boss forever, it was over 2 years ago I played it in Lake Tahoe arcade and all I could remember was a big head with a toungue hanging out that you had to shoot. Took people forever to give me the right answer :) Thanks!
hey i played this game the house of the dead in the arcade, and i thought that it would have red blood like all rated m for mature games, but no it had blue blood maybe the kids that played it before got to scared so they changed it to blue blood.
But yes, the Dreamcast really impressed me, as we could finally have "arcade perfect" (or 99%) or even superior games on the home console, that weren't super expensive (the NeoGeo, for example, when it first came out, was the most expensive console ever made).
So because of this you had arcades declining, and the remaining games, tended to be on older hardware (like Capcom's CPS2) and machines virtually identical to home consoles (SNK's MVS, compare to NeoGeo; Sega's Naomi, compare to Dreamcast; etc). This latter thing wasn't completely new, as you had Nintendo's PlayChoice and VS (brilliant advertising!), Sega's MegaPlay/Tech, Super System (SNES), and so forth.
Well I don't know about that, DarkAndersonEX. Arcades always had the edge in graphics and sound (so presentation was better). Home versions usually made up for the lack of presentation with added options and extras and often either upped the difficulty (or lowered it, if the game was particularly hard). Since the late 90's, home consoles really started to catch up in terms of hardware. Arcades couldn't compete because to outdo home systems, they became incredibly expensive.
have you noticed the difference of the cutscenes between james and gary alone, gary and the others speaks more quicker for some reason maybe its just to avoid the voice acting
Yeah. Well, Dreamcast emulation has come a long way, but Naomi seems virtually untouched. It's the same hardware, just without the discs, more ram and a better sound system, right?
for people who want to know how to play as Gary go on one player click Arcade or original mode then enter on ur other control pause as player 2 and take the P2 controller and hit Arcade version and ull be P2 Alone As Gary :D
was house of the dead 2 only naomi or was it model 3 too?

The Dreamcast version is prob the best of the console version. Because It used the same tech as the Naomi.

You cannot lie that the graphics are extremely better on the arcade version.
Consle versions these days doesn't have good graphics like the arcades do.

so the sega naomi was basiacally a sega dream cast built in a arcade cabinate
meplayvgalot 2 years ago
no,
The naomi was more powerfull than the dreamcast.
That's why you see the red blood particles that flow about and more neater graphics in the arcade version.
These things had to be removed from the console ports so te game was alot more stable on the dreamcast.
grothita 2 years ago
its the wii version good or sucks??
davidnagash 2 years ago
Red blood can be activated on Dreamcast version as well. Blame that for the stupid censorship.
Tippotipo 2 years ago
@Tippotipo No, I'm talking about how the blood spurts out in the arcade version rather than exploding in the air like the standard home port.
