My guess is it was luck and perhaps psychology that got them out of that. The others during the hostage situation weren't so lucky (many of them were killed) so these people here were the only survivors. It's always good to balance asserting yourself and being complient when taken hostage (though most people reccomend you comply).

@MrTheblackshinobi LOL Not really. Commanders of the Interhamwe/Hutu militia are some of the most brutal in that region (East Congo-Rwandan-Ugandan border area).
My guess is it was luck and perhaps psychology that got them out of that. The others during the hostage situation weren't so lucky (many of them were killed) so these people here were the only survivors. It's always good to balance asserting yourself and being complient when taken hostage (though most people reccomend you comply).
