No, I didn't use Bob's setup. But I bet that is a very good route - would have been easier.

I made my own setup. I bought the tips, MBRP, and cut up and welded the pipes myself.

how much drone is there while riding on the highway with MDS?

It's not bad at all, it's just a slight different tone, but not really droney at speed. Biggest time you notice anything like drone is cruising around 20-25mph, going up a very slight hill. Not anything to worry about, because you can just auto-stick, or hit the gas if it's a bother. Usually not in that parameter very long anyway.

Thanks for posting this. I like the sound better with the suitcase rather than the flowmaster 50. I was going in this direction also until I saw your post.

Did you notice a difference in performance at all? Be it faster or slower. some have said they lost low end/torque...

I ran this setup for a while. Not sure if it was just break-in, or what, but I pretty much went from 14.5's to 14.1's quite consistently. I don't race a lot, so really hard to tell. I did end up taking out suitcase, and added 2 F.M. 50's, for no increase in speed, but sounds good.

did they weld it,cant tell,is there a drone at any rpm.also,did you notice a difference in MPG.I want to do something with exhaust but cant afford the cost of aftermarket stuff.

Yes, it's welded. No dif in MPG, but I don't baby the throttle.

Cheapest would be leave these, and take out suitcase, but best power comes from loosing the resos. Suitcase is pretty good really.

I really like the way that sounds, I wish I wouldve done that, instead I took the butterfly muffler off & left the resonators on. Let me kno when you get the flowmaster exhaust installed!
