I just gotta ask did anyone complain after the video lol btw im a musician am thinking of trading in my double neck guitar for this system is it worth getting i have an electric acoustic i do play in an acoustic tour but i usually run into the house pa but im thinking if i invest in this will i be using it for years to come and what would i beable to sell it for when used if i decide to sell it for a price where i cover most of what i payed for.was it worth it and how many watts is it ? Thank y
@ronoc931 You're the musician and only you can make those equipment quality and need assessments. I don't have a crystal ball but I can tell you that Bose holds its resale value better than any other product I've dealt with. Prime condition units can fetch as high as 75 cents on the dollar, used versus new. The Compact is rated at or near 150 watts. Watts, however, is a terrible measurement as the line array will produce 4 times perceived coverage and levels of a standard speaker on a stick.

Hi m I wondered wether this unit with the full Speaker array would be good to use for School shows? I perform as a solo with 2 shows , I use a ROLAND OCTPAD , Elec Guitar ,MAC PC, HEADSET MIC, SURE MIC , so I need 5 inputs , would this be punchy and loud enough to perform to groups from 100 to 300 seated school kids? I have been using an "AMICO 1000 - 2 staelite 8" and a 15 " sub with built in Mixer , Sounds great but is really heavy , on wheels and slow to set up. cheers
@candidcomment : I seriously doubt it. Your top shelf ideal investment would be the L1 Model 2 with two B1s and the Tone Match Engine. From me, your total cost would be $3,297.00 (no sales tax charged outside NY and ground shipping is free)
I am interested in the L1 compact. I had the L1 Model 1 sold it but still kept the Tonematch, will it work with the compact model. and by the way are you still a Bose dealer? Great Demo thankyou.
@gibsoneer321 : Yes, the T1 works with any of the L1 products family, including the Compact. Yes, I am a manufacturer authorized L1 dealer. The L1 Compact's current price (Jan 9, 2012) is $999.00. No sales tax charged outside of New York, shipping is FREE. Cash, check, or PayPal. 5 in stock at the moment.

I can heartily recommend the Bose L1 Compact System . I've been using my own set up for a few months , and I simply would not go back to a traditional set up of big heavy loudspeakers with an amp,and tripod speaker stands . The sub woofer that Cap Capello has just demonstrated will ,quite easily be on my shopping list soon.
Incidentally , I've devised an aluminium trolley device for transporting my complete Bose L1 Compact System ,plus table, minidisc decks, flight case and bag of cables .
it would have been nice to hear this set up with the complete array in place, nevertheless, I really enjoyed your `forgetting `, and had a very good laugh - i´ve had the same problem ! thanks.
Well, I think you have persuaded me into advancing with my purchase of a Bose L1 Compact. I am a DJ/KJ host and play live music as well. I have a Yorkeville powered 10" sub that would work well with this type of application. I am selling a pair of Yamaha MSR100's (which I use for smaller gigs) and replacing them with this. Thanks for this video.
@macheted01 If you're interested in making that purchase, I am an authorized BOSE dealer. Right now, until June 30, 2011, BOSE has an authorized sale on the L1 product family. 10% off. As my dealership is in NY, sales tax is not charged outside my state, and I ship UPS ground FREE. Your total price, delivered, is $899.00. As the little squawk box say at Mikey D's, "May I Take Your Order, Please?" or, as they say in NY, "What The F Do You Want Now?"
A pair of Compacts provides a stereo image that has tremendous depth and character of sound. One is like listening to am radio; a pair is like listening to hi-def fm.
Very nice and funny your video!! I have a Compact and i connect a bass guitar and a Vocalist 4 for my voice ,and so far in a small club handle more than 70 persons!
On the compact, I noticed there is an XLR input. Is this ONLY a mic level input, or can it be used as a line leven input to accept a balanced XLR signal from an audio mixer?
@djdice19 The xlr input (channel 1, with both a high & low tone control plus a volume control) is mic input only (recommended) due to the special microphone preset effect it has built in. Some say the preset emulates a Shure SM58. Channel 2 has three separate yet simultaneous inputs; 1/8" stereo (iPods & droids) and/or left & right r.c.a. and /or 1/4" phono (balanced/unbalanced) for your instruments and/or mixers. That 1/4" input has a switch that can be flipped to accept another mic.
