Super idea. I've got to try this. An HD arm has got to be kick-ass powerful to hit a bunch of different microscopic tracks in a fraction of a second.

.... i have two hdd's lying around, their old and crappy, less then 5gigs each, are they still good candidates for this? the fact that you can play music into it is somewhat amazing

ya, they'll work, the coil is about the same as a speaker coil.
