In a world of Lady GaGa's and other manufactured music, This lady blows them all out of the water. I cannot decide between Ann or Pat Benetar, both can bring it like no other women in rock, and imho the best female voices of their time. What a voice Ann has!
I remember my first 45 vinyl - Heart "Magic Man" I have been fan ever since. This is song has such a strong message for me about close friends and standing by them. "Keepers of the Flame" my favorite phrase in this composition. Kudos Heart, you have my heart, timeless music! See everyone? Canada has wonderul talent!
I saw them w/ john couger in philly, as far back as you could get. But as close as we could get. I think it was 83? The place was packed. At the end, Ann was seriously pissed off about something, REALLY mad! it was hard to hear, I was so far away & everyone was yelling.
This is really good. I love how she sings this song, she makes the chorus look so easy. "Allies" is certainly an underrated song, and it's too bad, it's lovely. Nancy rocks on keys. :)
This is NOT the album version. At all. This is a GREAT live version and a great, under-rated song (and album). Writer: Jonathan Cain (Keyboard player with Journey.)
Love Heart- seen them many times over the years, but...........this isn't live! The audience has been edited into the clip. This is the album version!
The tour for this album was with Kansas and a coin toss determined who would open and who would close the show. Awesome concert!!!! I agree that this was an underrated album, I believe it's one of their best.
I have always loved this song! SO happy to find it here!!! Have Faved and 5*s. Fun Fact: It was written by Jonathan Caine (keyboard player of JOURNEY).
I've loved Heart since 1977 when I was 12years old and "Barracuda" was the very first record I ever bought---a 45 single. Ann and Nancy are so talented and they ROCK!! I honestly don't know how they haven't sold more albums. They are so AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
What a beautiful song, it should've been a huge hit for Heart. I'm just glad that people are embracing it now. "Passionworks", the album this song is from, hits the 25 year mark this August and this song among many others from that collection still sound as wonderful and timeless as they did back then.

I adore the sister's, but Ann, heard her when I was in grade school, and knew what I had to do! This
became a 25 yr career singer as a result, and now am in a Heart tribute group, just now forming, to play in casino's, I will be Ann.
No easy task!
