  • In a world of Lady GaGa's and other manufactured music, This lady blows them all out of the water. I cannot decide between Ann or Pat Benetar, both can bring it like no other women in rock, and imho the best female voices of their time. What a voice Ann has!

  • What a great song !!!

  • My favorite Heart song ever!

  • as a group with women who really sang rock and roll, they take it hands down!

  • And who would of thought this was a Journey song...

  • heart will always be my favorite band .

ann wilson IS my inspiration <3

  • I have this album(and I mean album) "PASSIONWORKS". 1983. Wish radio stations would play this song.

  • Nobody now can sing live and sound like the recording-these women are brilliant and gifted. ♥ lol and is there an instrument Nancy can't play? hehe

  • Ann wilson has the best voice in music past or present

  • A great song that can describe the relationship between the U.S. and Israel . I've always LOVED this song.

  • @computerpurple Wow, what a beautiful song. I love the words and yes I would say it fits our relationship with Israel perfectly.

    Thanks so much for sharing.

  • I had this album on cassette. What a great song!

  • I remember my first 45 vinyl - Heart "Magic Man" I have been fan ever since. This is song has such a strong message for me about close friends and standing by them. "Keepers of the Flame" my favorite phrase in this composition. Kudos Heart, you have my heart, timeless music! See everyone? Canada has wonderul talent!

  • Love this song & it didn't get as much airplay as some of their other hits.

  • imagine this song in frontiers journey album??

    a DUET please

  • @billbocate Especially since Jonathan Cain wrote it.

  • @zenfrodo and Journey tried it and it did not go with what they wanted to do.

  • I saw them w/ john couger in philly, as far back as you could get. But as close as we could get. I think it was 83? The place was packed. At the end, Ann was seriously pissed off about something, REALLY mad! it was hard to hear, I was so far away & everyone was yelling.

  • @broodyart Cool, saw the same show at pine knob in Detroit, I was 15, was visting from Saskatoon Canada and was awe struck at the whole spectacle!

  • wow. Great, I love this song. But live is better

  • Awesome song!!

  • This is really good. I love how she sings this song, she makes the chorus look so easy. "Allies" is certainly an underrated song, and it's too bad, it's lovely. Nancy rocks on keys. :)

  • I loved this song, used to sing it all the time with my band! Boy I miss those days!

  • One of their best songs. I love them all.

  • This is NOT the album version. At all. This is a GREAT live version and a great, under-rated song (and album). Writer: Jonathan Cain (Keyboard player with Journey.)

  • You are way wrong!! I have the studio version version. This IS live from their North American Tour with Kansas. I was there!!!

  • Love Heart- seen them many times over the years, but...........this isn't live! The audience has been edited into the clip. This is the album version!

  • this doesnt sound like the album version,i just listened to it.......wrong

  • How can you confirm this? Did you speak to Ann or someone else?

Your reply is a opinion as mine was...

  • ANN IS HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I enlisted a few years after this came out (yeah, I'm old), and it has been special to me since. And yeah - one of the most underrated albums ever.

  • Ann Absolutely Amazing!

    best female voice ever!!

  • The tour for this album was with Kansas and a coin toss determined who would open and who would close the show. Awesome concert!!!! I agree that this was an underrated album, I believe it's one of their best.

  • Hermoso

  • Wow is all I can say hearing and seeing this live is just beyond amazing. The band really put thei soul into this song.

  • passionworks was an very very underrated album from the wilson sisters i liked it.great ladys and musicians

  • Amazing song !!

    Amazing Voice !!!

    A TOP CLASSIC

  • I have always loved this song! SO happy to find it here!!! Have Faved and 5*s. Fun Fact: It was written by Jonathan Caine (keyboard player of JOURNEY).

  • 30 million albums and counting is pretty good, if you ask me XD

  • I've loved Heart since 1977 when I was 12years old and "Barracuda" was the very first record I ever bought---a 45 single. Ann and Nancy are so talented and they ROCK!! I honestly don't know how they haven't sold more albums. They are so AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is practically EXACTLY like the studio version! amazing! Ann Wilson's voice should be a wonder of the world, the whole band should!

  • has to with the producer doesnt push his ego on artists and lets them be themselves

  • Ann Wilson's voice should be declared a national treasure.

  • @buriedlovely Absolutely it should. She's 'f' ing amazing.

  • @buriedlovely yes but not these days

  • @buriedlovely What a great comment!

I adore the sister's, but Ann, heard her when I was in grade school, and knew what I had to do! This

became a 25 yr career singer as a result, and now am in a Heart tribute group, just now forming, to play in casino's, I will be Ann.

    No easy task!

  • @buriedlovely Isn't it?

  • ¡Qué bizcochazos!

    Quiero.

  • Ann has the most powerful, heartfelt female voice of all time. Great song and thank you for posting.

  • this was the first Heart song I ever heard, I was bitten for ever....

  • FANTASTIC!!! I've seen them in concert many times and they are always phenomenol!!

  • it was written by jonathan cain from journey dunno if nancy played piano on the studio version she probably did..great performance :)

  • Was Nancy Wilson classically trained on the piano?

  • The sisters had a good band back then. Denny Carmassi's drums really added alot to their sound on his first album with Heart.

  • I love this song. This is the first time I have seen this song on video. Thanks so much for posting!

  • Rock & Roll Royalty.

  • This is great..thanx :)

  • What a beautiful song, it should've been a huge hit for Heart. I'm just glad that people are embracing it now. "Passionworks", the album this song is from, hits the 25 year mark this August and this song among many others from that collection still sound as wonderful and timeless as they did back then.

  • That was really a treat for us Heart fans. Ann Wilson is the queen!

  • No one does it better than her!!! Ann's Voice is the best!!!

  • And I thought they never touched makeup or someone else's power ballad before signing with Capitol. It appears I was mistaken.

  • Shut up loser.

  • The 80's, get it?
