90s...@_@ great times. It's a pity that today it is impossible to repeat this atmosphere and greatness of these times.. People who played 5 years later in Half Life or Unreal thing they know what it means "a great game". Unfortunately, "great FPS games" started in 1992 and finished on Blood game in 1997. Of course, FEAR, Bioshock, Doom 3, Painkiller or Mirror's Edge are very similar to these old FPP games, but still it is nothing in compare with 90s..

I thought John Romero was fired because he was having a hard time getting motivated for Quake. He got together with Tom Hall who was also previously fired by ID (he wasn't enjoying the gory direction of ID) and created Ion Storm.

I think Romero then fired Tom!

I agree that its a shame he's not at ID, i would kill for them to make the final episode of Commander Keen. However, the impression i get is that he doesn't want to be a part of ID. He said in an interview a few years ago that he didn't think Doom 3 was very good: it was very predictable
