  • Which cadenza does she play?

  • Dr. Evil is conducting!

  • 1分18秒怪聲嚇到指揮?!

  • I'm sorry but I just find her playing to be totally unremarkable for a supposed world class soloist. I can hear better played and more interesting performances from conservatory level students from New York and Germany....

  • Anyone know what cadenza this is? Thanks.

  • @kelgrael77 It's definitely the Joachim cadenza

  • @matop125 Some passages are similar to Joachim's, but it must be Fischer's one

  • que fabulosa violinista, además de la interpretación lejos una de las mejores que he podido escuchar hasta ahora !!

  • 回国之后买本莫扎特的小提琴书才行,好好练练,哈哈,加油!!fischer你太帅了,我喜欢

  • she is amazing. the conductor is so fricken lazy though

  • funny how a video named "ROBOT VIOLINIST" is the top suggestion next to this video! coincidence?

  • what grade is this? i'm currently in grade 6 and i am experiencing difficulty in this song :/

  • thx for this post..you tube has introduced me to so much wonderful music

  • essa mulher é muito linda.

toca com muita tranqüilidade e com uma som muito bonito e bem limpo

  • thank you

  • I didn't realize that Elton John had taken up conducting in his late career.

  • I think the conductor is wearing a bulletproof vest.

  • @darkhusker it is a weird idea but the best explanation. LOL

  • @darkhusker

He has spina bifida and a hunchback, in case you were wondering.

  • @darkhusker You are an idiot to make such a comment.

  • la orquesta hace mucho , pero si tienes razon , esta mucho mas en el estilo y mas limpio

  • como ya quiero tocar asi!!!

  • I am HER big fan NOW~!

  • Fischer is obviously a first rate musician, however her lightweight sound and penchant for pretentious mannerisms suggest she is more suited to the role of an orchestral leader or 1st violin in a chamber group. On the other hand, Janine Janssen has that distinct sound and charisma which help generate electricity whenever she performs.

  • Hilary Hahn is an excellent musician, I prefer Julia Fischer, but when it comes down to who is the most fun to watch, Vengerov wins all the time.

  • i honestly think that hilary hahn's technique is almost FLAWLESS, but like..when she plays it never feels like it's "musically enough"..well maybe for bach it's alright but anyways i really really like julia fischer haha:D

  • very nice version among all!

  • i like mozart! and julia fischer

  • i love the fact that when she moves her violin, if feels as if shes dancing with the instrument creating a beautiful form of emotion and integrity. She did this piece amazingly

  • Nice! And I loved the cadenza!

  • My absolute favorite version of this concerto. She is amazing!!!!

  • wht a beauuuuutttiiiful viddd

  • flawless bow control. that is what makes it her interpretation. that subtlety and attention to detail is uncommon in most performances nowadays

  • god, this is gorgeous. i think she is the most ascethically appealing performer. when a violin is played correctly, it LOOKS beautiful. god i love love love her, so inspiring!!!!!

  • this from the handle.......wang man

  • whose cadenza is this

  • what a beautiful piece

  • the solo starts at 1:48

  • @iamachickenwing idiot. quit posting dumb comments you wifeless man who goes by the name "chickenwing". Serously, I saw you yesterday and really get a life. FATBUT. No wait, get a house you bum. Quit borrowing the library's computers.

  • @beceshawtti3 WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have a house, thank you very much. i am NOT FAT!!! i work out at the gym 5 days a week and i do use the library computer.......THE LIBRARY IN MY HOUSE!

  • @iamachickenwing yeah, saying that from a library computer. BYE HOBO

  • this is such a pleasant video

  • You're a nice person, aren't you?

  • @prettysingah were you talking to me

  • Does anyone know who wrote her cadenzas?

  • @prettysingah your mom

  • @iamachickenwing And what a great composer she is because I would had loved to have written these pieces. xD

  • @StradAmatiViolin yeah, i know... totally

  • @iamachickenwing I know it was intended to be a joke or something but I don't know.

  • @StradAmatiViolin ?? im confused

  • vey well.

  • idol1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I know that piece best with Gidon Kremer, Vienna Philharmonic and Nikolaus Harnoncourt. Though I like the orchestral side better with Vienna Philharmonic/Harnoncourt am I very surprised to hear Julia Fischers playing the violin part in that wonderful, beautiful way. It is so fresh, high musically, it sounds quite natural, perfect, joyful and it has much personality. I like also her way of using the vibrato. It is just an incredible performance! :-)

  • does anyone have any recomendations for the best version of this song

  • her bow control is so professional man

  • what happened at 1:19 that made the conductor stick out his hand?

  • @fenderguitarplaya11 we get it

  • @Victorhs13 the orchestra was probably playing too loud.

  • Einfach traumhaft.

    Eine andere Welt.

  • I love her!!! i play the violin and she is way good!!!

  • Very nice! Julia Fischer is really good! You also need listen Pinchas Zukerman. I liked! However, Perlman is the best for me.

  • @theviolin93 Yes. She's good. She did not study violin with gypsies. But it's a shame about the palsy that afflicts the left hands of Zukerman and Perlman.

Leopold Mozart wrote: "There are some players who tremble at every note, as if they had a chronic fever. One should use the tremolo (vibrato) only in those places where Nature herself would produce it."

  • I think people with a anxiety disorder should hear Mozart

  • she is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love Julia Fischer's interpretation! I agree with Joaguin, I definitely enjoy this version much more. It's so charming and sweet, I can't help but smile while listening.

  • Agree, Hahn is rushed and unnatural. Fischer is good. Did you listen to her Bach Partita?

  • And also the cadenza is Mozarts. I know from my last comment you know I am playing this piece. I've seen her part and it's in the scroll.

  • Amazing! I'm playing this piece in my orchestra. I'm a second violinist. And to the person who said his beats were off, there are many different parts to this piece that he also has to conduct that you might not hear. Like the violas for instance. Everyone's part is different. In this piece, you mostly hear the first violins and the soloist.

But anyway, everyone was amazing! I loved it! Can't wait till my orchestra performs!

  • I love the way she does everything :) So clean, so nice to hear, but still unique. Also, I love the way she smiles at 3:15.

  • awesome!!!!!

  • is the conductor even doing anything? the orchestra seems to be playing itself, and the conductor's beats were off...

  • I love how she doesn't make dumb faces. She's very good.

  • She is beautiful and her playing even more beautiful!

  • @utrocca She doesn't really make faces, but I noticed she moves with her whole body more than other performers I've watched :P Not judging, just stating ^^

  • Was anyone else sent here by the book "The Mozart Season"?

  • i was that book is awesome

  • @MrsChetBaker555 I was:D

I wanted to hear it so bad after that book. It's one of my favorites

  • I find that Julia Fischer generally plays classical and baroque better than her romantic and comtemporary. (In my opinion.) She did a great "Summer" but I heard some Ravel and Paganini from her, and it just didn't strike me. She played it well, extremely well, but I guess I just didn't feel like hte emotion wa there... I think that this is my longest comment on youtube ever...

  • Certified Intergalactic! Brava Fischer! The best Mozart Violin Concerto No. 4 ever!

  • Beautiful!!!

  • I think this video is awesome. Fischer is amazing. Tate is too. Love It!

  • I am glad you recognize the conductor is the famous Sir Jeffrey Tate and not some frumpy old man. Bravo.

I love bothe Julia and Hilary. Julia I followed her for a while, a masterful leader and thinker, extremely intelligent. Hilary is more human, just as bright but her human goal is different, so you chose.

  • That was very inspiring. Bravo!!!!!!!!!!

  • I would love to have this whole first movement. Is there a dvd of this? Does anyone know?

  • Its recorded so I would of thought so, but I haven't seen it, they normally show these type of concerts on the Performance Channel on Sky, so maybe it might be on Performances website ... im not sure though.

  • beautiful cadenza what is it?

  • Leapold Auer

  • @dagll are you sure? i have the barenreiter edition and there are joachim's and auer's, but there isnt this one :(

  • i absolutely loooove how julia fischer plays this.

i think this is the best version of this song. <3

  • Her bowing is just unbelievable. As a result, when it comes to this particular piece she achieved general objective superiority compared with many contemporary performers (e.g. GC or DS)

Her double stops are almost heavenly.

A little crispier trill is in the wish list but I believe it will come naturally soon.

I have preferred SA to DO so far, but now I guess I have to reconsider. Thanks!

  • Can anybody tell me what chin rest she is using?

  • who is the conductor?

  • me actually

  • Wow... en verdad me eh queado estupefacto ante tal personalidad de bella dama.

    ¡Saludos!

  • she composes her own cadenzas. I read it on the CD liner notes

  • Conductor sucks!

  • mozart is chamber music...spare me...does the conductor even really have to do much?...he's just chillin...let him relax...lol

  • But he looks bad anyway

  • She plays amazingly!!!

does anibody knows whos cadenza is it? because I am tring to find the notes for this concerto...

  • *anybody

  • she is amazing.

  • I love how Fischer plays, however, for me, I would like to have a little bit of Hilary's energy.

  • She doesn't need anything from Hilary.

  • Beatifullly played. She sounds very natural, "spontaneous" and musical. Not at all like Hilary Hahn, who I find overcontrolled and almost "thick" sounding (with all due respect).

  • @holmesau She is not :"just a violinist". Check out her playing Gieg's piano concerto.

  • Lmao.....cageynerd do you just jump from video to video writing crap about Julia Fischer? What, did she sleep with your boyfriend or something? Get a life! You probably can't play half of what her playing ability is. Although I will agree with you on this one interpretation. I am not very fond of it myself.

  • That may be, but her over all playing is very clean, and precise. Not that Julia Fischer isn't an abosolutely amazing musician. I enjoy both, but Hilary does play an amazing Bach. :)

  • @Joaquin3245 calling her fat?

  • I shudder to imagine what her I.Q. could be!

  • Certified Intergalactic!

  • amo a esta mujer

  • Ouch. Mon prof m'a donné cet partition hier. Je n'y arriverai jamais.

  • I like this much more than Hilary Hahn's performance.

  • This recording is more lively than Hilary Hahn's recording. Throughout most of the passages, her phrasing sounds more natural and vibrant.

  • Personally I like Hillary Hahn's recording better because of her impecable intonation and amazing expression.

  • I think she might be the composer of her own cadenza. I noticed her phrasing went hand-in-hand with her cadenza. Very nice perforamace.

  • this cadenza isn't joachim's! can anyone tell me, who the composor of this cadenza is??

  • I think she make up her own cadenza!

  • just curious, how old was she in this video?

  • i also want to know.....

  • nice!

  • BIG FAN ...BIG FAN !!!!! LOL

  • lulia fischer possède un son cristallin ce qui est fondamental dans mozart.que du bonheur!

  • I wonder what that noise was at 1:19 it sounded like a book being dropped. It did seem like the conductor heard it too.

  • is that a mic in front of her?

  • well she is a very fine player no doubt, but nothing super extraordinary. she's one of the best, but not the best of the best in my opinion.

  • i take that back. she is very great--i just saw some of her other videos. but i prefer more aggressive players i guess. even in mozart--like mutter.

  • I prefer Julia Fischer's Mozart over other violinist, but that's just me.

  • Magnífica interpretación de una música inigualable e incomparable...

    Thanks!!!

  • wowo

  • wow!! I like her playing so much! her cadenza is different the original edition, but still, she plays wonderful!! Thanks for sharing~

  • What cadenza is she playing? Joachim?

  • I think it is her own cadenza, not bad!

  • a breath of fresh air

  • I'm working on it now !

  • Very very good!

  • Superb!

  • I saw this live in Amsterdam and was so impressed.. she also played the Concertante with a Fabulous violist...my son plays this..and is on utube themontyshow..I think she is a female version of him.

  • This fabulous violist is the great violinist Gordan Nikolic, one of the most interesting violin players and musicians i know. (And much more interesting than Julia Fischer in my opinion although she's great too.)

  • I am working on the D major right now... Wish I could play like her.

  • excellent

  • she is perfect :)
