Many great musicians consider Little Richard and Chuck Berry (who were both popular before Elvis) as the original Kings of Rock. Elvis merely took it to a whole new level, which is why he's the King of Rock to most. No one is stupid for picking Chuck Berry, Little Richard, or Elvis. You can't go wrong with any one of those three.

Teenagers liked rhythm and blues because it was different, shunned, and "sexy," and when some artists like Little Richard and Chuck Berry crossed over onto pop charts, that made way for more musicians like them. Then Elvis came and took the world by storm, the rest is history.

Hey Wake up this man wrote this stuff years before the Beatles got started. As a matter of fact listen to the guitars on the early Beatles you will hear Chuck Berry coming directly through. He is the greatest and first with electric roick and roll. The Beatles and other groups credit Chuck Berry for much of their inspiration in their 64- 67 period. Chuck did this in 1956. As you may know 10 years in rock and roll is a light year.
