A meteorologist does it all the time in order to predict what weather we might experience in the future. Accuracy is not 100% as you know.

So 666 is not inherently a "bad" number; however, if the energy of that number is focused on self gratification (self comfort, beauty, perfection, healing, etc..) rather than sharing and opening it up to others than it can lead to vices (i.e. greed) that ultimately are often self-destructive. If the intent is pure than all is well but if someone is getting you to enjoy a vice because it makes their life more enjoyable (schadenfreude), that's a bit evil in my opinion.
