Ppl, even family members can unnecessarily be a cause for stumbling to their own children. Just because they've made mistakes, they seem to think that a child will automatically follow their same course of rebellion and etc. . . The child has a mind of their own and parents, adults, need to know that you can stumble your children and they can grow up with a warped sense of self and sexuality.

I completed my project, and set it up in the room I shared with my big sister. She had a baby boy, and he wrecked it! Now, whoever I choose to come into my home, must know that I'm a bit eccentric, love colors, and a child at heart. By the way, your doll house is a dream!!!

@slapme77times I can remember being told by my grandfather that I was too old to still be playing with Barbie dolls when I was 12. (Both my sister and I REFUSED to put away our Barbie's.) It hurt our feelings, but my grandmother discouraged us from playing with them. I STILL enjoy looking at my Barbie collection and remembering the times that my sister, cousins and I played with Barbie as young girls. It was the most wonderful kind of escapism!

Believe it or not Barbie, I just bought a doll house today with some miniature people! LOL!!! Little girls are growing up too fast these days. I remember being told by my "friends" that I was too big to play with dolls. I had been in my parents garage building a little village at 14 yrs. old, when my friend stopped by. I wanted to finish my project instead of going with her. She told just about everybody who knew me that I was building a "church" in my garage. I was the brunt of their jokes.
