yes buy this if you want a loud horrible watercooling kit with a loud fan, that makes extremely loud pump noise (like an old fridge) and is outperformed by comparible air coolers. Also the threads are worn out, there are no extra screws for a second fan etc etc etc
I've had one for about 9 months now on a x4 965, OC to 38.5GHz Prime 95 for 8hrs and temps never got over 41C. In normal operation, room temp 72F, idle Temps 29C load Temps 36C. The pump made noise for about the first 20 seconds when first installed and has been dead quiet since. Using single pull fan. So far, I have never been able to get the unit warm enough for the fan to kick into the higher speeds. Install is easy if you have case with access to rear of MB otherwise you'll have to remove MB
mines only 3 days old and the pump is making noise already. iv tried mounting it in different ways trying to get air bubbles out and nothing had worked.
@sveindo I returned it and got a corsair h70. its alot better. antec watercooling systems have too many problems and have poor installation instructions.
3 hours of prime95 at 18C room temp shows all 6 cores at 45C.
I tried all configurations,it works best sucking into the case, but to do this you need a good roof fan in your case to prevent high case temps. Also you need to turn Q-fan control off in your BIOS so that the unit runs at full speed and isnt adjusted by the m/board.The unit itself adjusts the fan speed.Your BIOS shows the pump speed, not the fan speed.Thats why this demo uses a seperate tacho on the fan.
i got one today and just wow :D i have an amd x6 and it had the stock cooler on it and it was loud as hell! installed the "kuhler", first run i heard some water splurging and then only a negligible humming/buzzing kind of sound :D. but when you consider me typing on my keyboard making more noise it''s OK.
btw i noticed you have the fan on the inside, is't it suppose to the between the radiator and the case ? like in the installation video ? the manual wasn't very helpful with installation.
This is the biggest rip off you can get for a cpu cooler, along with the other stand alone watercoolings, because even a cheap air cooler will turn your cpu into ice compared to this.
Better leave the stock air cooler or get a custom watercooling setup.
@damarh Whatever everything that throws the CPU Load to 100% does, but that's not the point,i talked generally and not according the temps in this video.
Try check reviews,it's about the same as a good Air Cooler at that price with 120mm fan, also some reviews shown it having around 3-4c more than an Air Cooler, and that to get midrange performance and increased possibility to damage your hardware with leaky pipes.
@truebassB $50 for Antec H20 620, come on man you can't beat that. I got 1 for $58 from newegg.com but haven't installed it yet. People were using Liquid Cooling Systems for ages so I think you should be pretty safe as long as you don't do any damage to the tubes your self.
@truebassB I'm not an expert or anything like that but all boutique companies like Falcon-Northwest etc use liquid cooling systems, so I guess they do it for a reason.
@Igorsov Liquid cooling is the best method for cooling components, regardless if they are pc components, heavy duty machinery, car engines, etc,i was pointing my concerns to the entry level water cooling systems.
I got this today, I had hyper 212Plus before hand, my temp was 37/49 (idle/load) stock clock, and overclocked from 2.8 to 3.5 temps are 44/55, it wasn't bad at all with the hyper 212+ but when I replaced it with this my stock clock temps are 33/41 and overclock temp is 36/45. pretty significant difference I guess eh?
I've read wonderful things about Corsair's Hydro system warranty where they would replace people's damaged PC parts due to a leak from one of their Hydro systems. If such a leak were to happen with an Antec Kuhler 620, how does Antec handle warranties?
I use a HAF 932 case and I have ordered one of these and am thinking about mounting it in the top with a 120 mm fan alongside it. would it be as efficient mounted that way?
OK People, i just bought this cooler from staples, running i5 2500k and a sabertooth p67, 36-37c idle and 49-50 full load on prime 95. Second test, overclock to 4.4Ghz, sorry i forgot the idle temps but the full load temps were 65c. Best deal cooler ever, GO GET ONE!
what kind of mounting screw is used to affix the fan to the radiator, I want to do push and pull, but don't know what kind of screws to get (not the regular fan mounting screws) Thanks :)
@TheNathlm Yes, there will be an LGA2011 bracket available, but we don't have all the details on that yet. Stay tuned to Asetek on facebook/twitter for more info.
what model are the stock fans on this? i will be buying one soon and am debating whether or not to upgrade the fans...will the software still control the fans if replace them? thanks
wheres the water? im new to this, please help me out :)), do you have to buy a special coolent liquid? dose it pull liquid out of the air..? dose it have a bucket of water next to it connected to tubes or somthing that help move cold air? i have a x6 phenxom ii and 5970 2gb, i feel my 2.80 gz processor is bottlenecking me in games, like mount and blade with 1000 fully rendered 3d troops maxed out with 1900x1200 rez, which would slow any computer, but the occasional choppy lag must be my cpu
What sad is Antec will not pay for you pc parts if it leak all over you gpu and cpu mother broad i call and ask if some thing happen they said no we dont pay for pc parts only pump sad go with corsair h-50 -60 -70 they will pay for you pc parts if get leak on it they tlod me yeah we pay for you parts if any leaks happen in gpu cpu broad ty
Wait what? Sorry to break your little Corsair fanboyism, but Antec did pay my GPU, as my cooler leaked due to a production fault. They replaced both the Graphics card and the CPU cooler (as the CPU didn't get any harm, nor the motherboard).
still considering one eventhough load temps were bad the main prob with these coolers is not enough flow res is too small install brackets need to be metal aswell as housing it is better than the h50 an 70 better overall temps cuz the mobo runs cooler than with corsairs
@AsetekInc Yea i know that but can you answer my question above? I need to know witch one to get, even though im probably getting this because the noctua is big and ugly.
@AsetekInc Yeah i understand, but temps that high will damage your cpu. My processer is a I5 760 2.8ghz
8mb cache and i have overclocked it to 3.8ghz with the Antec 620 that you are running in this video and i'm getting temps no higher than 32 degrees each core and that is when im running a demanding game. My mate has pretty much the same I7 cpu as you and his temps are only a bit higher than my temps. I don't know i just think that your temps are tad too high. Maybe get it checked thats all!
@DiabolicMeltdown I think it depends on your needs. The included fan is pretty good it its own right. Post back and let me know what you think after you get it installed.
@AsetekInc I got it installed, temps are amazing, they dropped by about 15 degress from my old aftermarket cooler, but it is a bit noisy. Seeing as how Im cheap, I probably wont be upgrading the fan, since it does perfom quite well.
@AsetekInc Thanks for the reply..& sure will >> looks like I am going to mount the radiator just underneath the top 180mm intake fan, or something like that.
@AsetekInc thanks Asetek ! this worked out really well and I gotta say the new flexible hoses are the key in my install in the Sileverstone SG07 & surprisingly it was the clearance and of optical plug and HD mount connectors but it works great ! gonna spoiled forever witth the cool and quiet and pis are already on you FB wall thanks again!
@AsetekInc Are any of Asetek's products available to the public hand without having to buy a minimum number of products?
Kind of wanted to build a little LAN party rig off of the NZXT Vulcan... and I saw that you made a 92mm watercooling setup like the Kuhler, but I don't know where to purchase one as a single. or maybe two. =/
from what i have understand the pump will be pretty quiet unless it starts to malfunction. i am pretty much into buying antec h20 620 + scythe gentle tycoon.
i prefer rubber tubes over the ones that h50/60/70 uses becuase of the flexibility and reduced risk of leakes.
i want a affordable cooler that fits into my chassi, is quiet and also do a good job cooling my phenom x4 c3 be at klockspeed under 4.6ghz
i think antec h20 620 + GT might be the best choice for me.
@AsetekInc i think 2 GTs would be overkill for the cpu i am using now(you usually wont be able to do more than about 4.3ghz 100% stable anyway). but i might upgrade later on.
i have read that you wont be able to have 2 fans with the screws included, is that correct?
@hsh24892 Hey, there are some reviews out there on the web now and performance is generally better than the H50 and just shy of the H70. Check out tweaknews and tweaktown.
Thanks again exhaust would be my first choice & really appreciate sharing the model 545LC info.Have no problem using tools like core temp and stress the system to monitor temps ,also had hand on experience with Corsair push pull & likely to exhaust air for positive air-flow
Thanks Asetek for your fine products and support !
Hi Specification- Nzxt phantom-asus crosshair III-phenom II 965 3.4ghz-8gb ram corsair 1333- Msi 5850 1gb
I used now Kuhler 620. I changed my Cooler master v6gt . V6gt---> idle -31-32 degre Stress 55 degre. Antec kuhler 620 --idle 1 Fan ---> 28-30 degre ....you can instal extra Fan on the front Radiator i used original 120mm Nzxt fan idle 23 degre stress iam not tested yet this or next week. I do video for people to show my PC.
@peter5331 From what i read you get a little bit better temps if you have the fan intaking from the back instead of it intaking inside and blowing out. But your case temps inside are actually alot hotter so your components are hotter that's bcause your not exhausting enough hot air out of the case...This is what i read from the Corsair h70 review...So they actually prefer it to intake from the inside of the case and blow air out even though it runs 2c hotter...
@savator408 thanks for the reply I have no problem using tools like Core Temp and stress the CPU with a burn in test like IntelyBurnIn & monitor temps ,also had hand on experience with Corsair push pulls & likely to exhaust air for positive air-flow with this particular case and situation that I am considering.
Thanks Asetek for your fine products and support !
lets see if its any better than Corsair's Hydro Series H50, hope it is alot less noise, i am thinking of buying Noctua NH-D14 Dual Radiator CPU Cooler
@TikiShootah Thanks for the question. The 620 features the latest improvements from Asetek, including a new coldplate, easy-bend tubes, and liquid temperature controlled fans.
@manel0319 Generally, exhaust is better for overall system temperatures while intake is better for CPU temperatures at the expense of the rest of the system.
@AsetekInc@AsetekInc Indeed but most people will want to run this cpu in the mid 70c range, a single 120mm rad simply isn't capable of that. This really looks like nothing more than a rebranded H70 with pwm controlled fans if im perfectly honest.
Increased liquid flow or a bigger radiator would have obvious benefits,
yes buy this if you want a loud horrible watercooling kit with a loud fan, that makes extremely loud pump noise (like an old fridge) and is outperformed by comparible air coolers. Also the threads are worn out, there are no extra screws for a second fan etc etc etc

@hsh24892 Hey, there are some reviews out there on the web now and performance is generally better than the H50 and just shy of the H70. Check out tweaknews and tweaktown.

@hsh24892 It outpreforms the h50. But the h70 is a little better. But Of course this is more quieter than the h70 ;)

I would definitely check out the cooling performing as to whether I get better performance with either intake or exhaust.in my setup.
also curious if Asetek has a mini - version available for use in smaller cases.

@peter5331 Thanks for the comment. We generally recommend exhaust for better overall system temperatures.
We do have the 545LC which is 92mm. For more detailed information, visit our website. Thanks!

@TikiShootah Thanks for the question. The 620 features the latest improvements from Asetek, including a new coldplate, easy-bend tubes, and liquid temperature controlled fans.

why is this set to exhaust? it can get better temps if its set to intake, that way it get colder air from the outside of the case...
manel0319 1 year ago
@manel0319 Generally, exhaust is better for overall system temperatures while intake is better for CPU temperatures at the expense of the rest of the system.

Since when was mid 80's cool?
gerv55 1 year ago
@gerv55 Keep in mind that this is with a 4.2Ghz overclock at 100% load on one of the hottest chips on the market.
AsetekInc 1 year ago
@AsetekInc @AsetekInc Indeed but most people will want to run this cpu in the mid 70c range, a single 120mm rad simply isn't capable of that. This really looks like nothing more than a rebranded H70 with pwm controlled fans if im perfectly honest.
Increased liquid flow or a bigger radiator would have obvious benefits,
gerv55 1 year ago
@gerv55 I know Antec has some units going out to reviewers which should help put the 620 in context with the others.
