like a lot of transgendered people make new families and as much as I get on with all my family I get with my adopted ffamily a lot better, that really is normal you can love your dad & agree to disagree, hes lived his life the way he wanted its your turn now love your partner & like you said start your own things with your "other" family.

Hey dude, I just want to say I'm really sorry your mum passed away when you were so young. I can't image that, and I think it must be so sad to have grown up with her, and you are really brave for transitioning without her.
Sometimes memories bring comfort and sometimes sorrow. My only real fam passed 3yrs ago,Mom and Grandmom. Holidays arent the greatest since then.
Your fam needs time to be supportive. Dad is in denial and needs to connect with you as his son, give it time as long as you can cope with it. Regardless you are a great guy and I wish you much love this holiday.
Just gonna say, thats retarded. Your need to speak to your brother and your father's family, u need to tell them, if their not gonna accept you now they never will and if they will they will accept u now. you HAVE to talk to them, this isnt something you can avoid...
I'm sorry for your loss. Your mother sounds like a warm person, whom has given you many warm memories. Take some quiet time and embrace those memories of you mother and the holiday joy she brought you.
I'm sorry about your family. Your dad is torn between you & your transition. It sounds like he is embarrassed. Sometimes people are some what selfish, in the means that it's a reflection on them, because they are uneducated or even ignorant of what you have dealt in your life.
@EthanJay1261 She was indeed. And yes, I've sort of realized my dad is somewhat embarrassed of my situation, but regardless, I know he loves me, which is why i try to be understanding and patient. I hope your holidays are awesome and thanks for your comment!
