hey man i just bought this cologne but im kinda worried... i had never smelled le male before and boutght it because it seemed like such a good cologne ( as ive heard) but when i first spray it, it really wasnt as great as i thought it would be... smelled alcoholish at first and smells a little better now. im just wondering is it supposed to be a strong projecting smell, or could it even be spoild? And what does spoild cologne smell like?
@mylusernameslJustin It is strong when you first spray it but it dries down after about 30 minutes to a vaniilla scent. At first its pretty musky, just remember not to spray too many times

This reminds me of my childhood friends older brother. We used to hang out in his room sometimes and I can still remember that he used this fragrance because of the bottle! He must have been a real player at the time.
After 10+ years I find myself wearing this fragrance. And it's one of my favourites.I've just recently bought fleur du male and I'm liking that one too.

It's definately one of those fragances u will either like alot or hate hate hate. I was excited to get it, went and smelled and was like hmm.....not what I expected, and didn't like it. So I'm going to get a tester and see if I grow to like it. So it's a great fragrance but u really need to like it before u buy.
When i was young, my dad was wearing a cologne called cuba gold which is a knockoff of le male. I seriously loved it. I sprayed it everywhere (even in my pants and never doing that again lol). I sprayed it in my mouth because i thought it would taste as good as it smells lmao. When i found this, its just a stronger and more better version of cuba gold. Sex in a bottle for sure. This is a buy for me, others try because it can be too sweet and cloying to others.

I like Le Male a lot. It's like bubblegum-pop-music in a bottle, surely not subtle, not really masculine, but immediately recognizeable .
I really think that Le Male makes me happy at times.
I also like L'Eau d'Issey a lot, for other reasons and occasions, because I think it's more elegant.
Whenever I like a real 'old school' 60s and 70s smell, I use a cheapo like Tabac Original. I don't know if it's sold everywhere, but I like the strong bergamotte, musk and sandalwood scents in it.
Just bought le male today, whoah does it have projection. Everywhere I go I leave a scent trail lol. I put it on at 4pm and its almost 10 and I could still smell it. It smells okay but it is growing on me.
I went out with a girl once and i was wearing 1 million and she said " you smell like my ex " and i was like huh ! i went out with her again with le male on me ... she started talking for like a minute and then she goes " mmmmmm... god you smell soooo good what is it ??? "

Le Male in my opinion is over rated junk. My room mate used this one, from the first whif i hated this one. To add to my agony, this one is a projection monster.
For me LeMale is a double edged sword, I get plenty of great compliments when I wear it but personally I have always found the scent rather unpleasant. There is just something I don't like about the way it smells on my skin. My brother uses my bottle all the time and it smells great on him. Body chemistry can be a cruel mistress.
Co incidentally the first time I wore this fragrance was when I was on a cruise ship and was pretty much a school kid with parents. I wanted to wear some nice fragrance with the suit and tie I was supposed to wear to a restaurant on the cruise and I didn't have any fragrance. It was one of the cruise staff (aka sailor) who brought this bottle to our room and asked me to wear this. So it was typical Le male commercial for me (except that I had nothing to do with the sailor) Love it
This cologne is one of my favorites. It stays on my skin all day. Even in the morning when I wake up, I can still smell traces of it on my skin. I do enjoy sweet fragrances as well. This cologne gives me a cold,mint,vanilla vibe. Love this stuff !!!!!
This was my favourite cologne at the time I got it. I liked the opening and dry down. Unfortunately because of the warmer weather that I live in I cannot wear it that often.
It last from 12-24 Hrs on my skin but most time I do not notice it as my nose gets used to it pretty quickly.
Good scent I don't wear it as much anymore but I still enjoy it, I actually sport the summer versions alot more in the year because of the hot summer months here LOL.

I got this last November, I like it as much as my L'eau D'Issey by Issey Miyake and CK Euphoria Intense. The smell is smooth and clean but my nose is getting used to the smell like there was a time, at the end of the day when I thought I was not wearing it anymore but when I picked up my shirt for laundry 2 weeks after I sprayed it, the scent was still there. The downside I guess for me is I do not find the scent too strong unlike Issey Miyake.I also find this smells like The Dreamer by Versace.
but the strange thing is it dosent project and it dosent last long on my skin i dont know whats the problem with my skin but its the same for other colonges too... any ideas ?! how to fix this problem ? i go with 6 or maybe more spray of this to maybe others could smell it...but when they do they love it [ soo pleas some ideas about how to fix my problem with projection and Longevity on my skin ]

I read before I purchased this cologne that it smelt like them round things you put in public toilets, and when it arrived all it reminded of is them toilet things but after 2 weeks I gave it another spray n loved it ever since my no1 now.

Le Male (and almost all other colognes) do not project well on me.. My scent cloud (with 2 sprays on the neck!) is only about 2-3ft out. I do one spray on the neck, and have a nice and not overpowering scent cloud all day.
Only tried this fragrance once. I have been weary of purchasing it since I know it's so popular. The time I tried it, I sprayed one application on the neck. The scent reminded me of baby powder and it was so strong that it gave me a headache :P. I bought this 1.5 weeks ago. I actually went to smell the top 5 most complimented on Tim's count down. I've always loved vanilla but was pleased with the initial blast of mint. I actually have a vanilla/lavender oil from the Body Shop that's pretty good but this is better, more complex & more useful. I plan to use it for nights out but wore it to work today. One spray. I'm sure it's popular but everyone wears Curve by me.
I smelled this on some guy at a sporting event about ten years ago and was really digging it, but had no idea what it was. Then a few years later I was at college going to the parking lot to leave and some guy was selling bootleg colognes. One of them was Le Male and when he told me the name I went out pretty quickly to snatch up a legit bottle. I'm still a fan, but will usually reach for the Bulgari Black if I'm looking for a powdery vanilla. Prefer the tea note over the mint note.
I have tested a lot of expensive fragrances and I think that Jean-Paul Gaultier is one of the best. Price range and quality. Especially that I am not single.
When it comes to buy a bottle previously owned, I tend to buy the most complimented ones. Jean-Paul Gaultier has been my friend for a long time now.
I own this and wear it pretty often. Like the scent, just wish the mint was toned down a little bit. If it were toned down just a tad I would probably wear this 4-5 times a week in the winter
I don't hate Le Male. But I don't love it. Anyways, the scent is tiring. It is pretty strong. I feel like they should tone it down a bit. Since one spritz is all I've sprayed it was on the verge of giving me a headache. But I do like the scent, I just wish it wasn't as in your face and strong.

I'm on my second 4.2 oz bottle of Le Male. It's not popular where I am. The best compliment I've ever received on it is "It has it's time and place"..? I think every girl is still adjusted to Curve, ADG and Cool Water in my area. I love it though. I love vanilla and powdery frags, but I usually hate mint. To me it's a well balanced frag. Nice way to smell fresh with some substance behind it. Longevity and projection alone make you feel like you get your money's worth also.
forgot to add this is also one of them that has to be worn correctly otherwise it will get messy when ever i pick this or joop homme im thinking dont over do it.
I personally don't care who or how many guys are wearing it, as long as I like it, I'll wear it. That goes for all fragrances, bottom line. I'm not the type that would wear something different just for the sake of it, so I won't turn down a good fragrance. Furthermore, I haven't ran into one single female who dislikes this fragrance, so that's a big plus right there.
Its just too much vanilla for me. Its too common and people that wear this (not everybody) just kills themself with it, litteraly like takes a shower with JPG. Get's me pretty cloying.
This scent is awesome! However, 2 of my best friends girlfriends had bought them Le Male. Which kinda sucks for me because I hate wearing the same thing as my friends. Bottom line, chicks dig this scent and if u don't like it, you are just a hater.

****Warning, even though it smells nice and all it is intense and if you wear it on your neck you are gonna have to put up with it all day long which can be a little too much for some people like myself. What I do is 1 spray on the chest and 1 on each wrist - I'm set!
I just bought my first bottle of le male... it doesn't project on my skin like all sweet frags (fresh frags seem to project better on me) but I love the smell.. It is very popular here in India but I like it so I wear it.. I love wearing this at night..I've been told this one smells mysterious... I love vanilla in frags.. this and la nuit de l'homme are my favourite frags of all time..
never had the full experience of Le Male.. they have a 1oz bottle at Wal-Mart for 20 bucks .. i may go purchase it since nobody has bought it yet.. lol..
Oh, and have you ever tried Perry Ellis 360 White edition? It is about half the price, but surprisingly VERY similar and about as sophisticated as Le Male.
To me, this is a fragrance for a very outgoing YET coy guy: someone with confidence that wants to be noticed yet is not obnoxious. My brother owns this (college kid) and my old college roommate wore it way to much... even sprayed it in places fragrance was not meant to be sprayed! Use your imagination. Perhaps because of that I view this unfairly as a scent that a gigolo would wear. Le Male is "sexy" and very in-your-face. Not for me, but it does have its place.
I own a sample of this fragrance but my brother got one from me for christmas. My experience from my tiny sample spritzer is mind blowing, I do just two sprays on the neck and it projects like nothing else I know. Longevity is well beyond my actitivity hours, I will go to bed with the scent still reaching my nose. As for quality I feel it's not a wow fragrance like say Edition Blanche which puts out the scent of lemons in a perfect and natural way, Le Male's ingredients appear modified.

Secondly, about the frag. I smelled it in Shoppers after hearing all the hype and I had to wash it off. I also tried Bulgari Black on that same trip and walked out of the store knowing that vanilla is DEFINATELY not my note. I just can't do vanilla, to me it's too "dense". But I could definately see how someone who likes vanilla would LOVE Le Male.

I like it, but to me it isnt anything very special. I think its just another vanilla scent. For me, I would much rather wear something like Angel Men, or La Nuit de L'homme. I have had more compliments on those two fragrances than on Le Male by far. I think really, its what you stated in the video, its so common that people tend to know the scent around here and almost ignore it. I like something out there and unique. Le Male is pretty much my pillow comfort frag. now
I think this a really good scent. I have but i am not wearing it much because my brother wears it too and i dont want to copy him. Projection and longevity is good. But in my area i think it is too popular not only as a going out scent but as everyday so i think everyone will recognize it if i wear. I have a lot of other choices, which is not as popular or well know so thats what i wear i love this one but for me it is a bit too popular.

It's definitely not a bad fragrance, but I'm not crazy about the powdery aspect of it. It has insane longevity and projection, so that's good. I only 1-2 sprays and I'm set. I wear it every now and then, but it's not a personal favorite. I like my scents a little bit more clear and clean.
I went to Macy's with my girlfriend the other day and we walked by Le Male and she had a smirk. I said "whats up?" and she said Le Male reminded her of Highschool, her old friends and how everyone in that highschool wore that fragrance.

It smells good, but it's not for me. I don't like the sweetness and the powder. It's not the mint (I love Live Jazz), it could be the vanilla that I dislike; I don't own any vanilla based fragrances. I know a lot of women love it, but if I'm not comfortable wearing a fragrance, it will show. That's my 2 cents, it doesn't change the fact that it's a very popular scent. It wouldn't be popular for nothing.
I wore this on a cool summer night, and one guy told me I smelled like a french whore..... yeah. But the girls liked it, so that's all that really matters honestly lol.
I blindly bought this at macys. It was my first bottle i ever bought from macys. I really enjoyed it! Most my friends know nothing about colognes so they never smelled this before and have no idea what it is. All they have is one aquatic cologne and thats it. Actually one of them has chrome and he's been wearing that since highschool (27 now) and he never moved from that lol
On my skin, the initial orange blossom/lavender blast calms down after 2-3 hours. Then the powdery vanilla picks up IF my body heats up.....otherwise it stays quiet for the next 10 hours.
I love how this one works on me. And fortunately, I don't run into many people wearing Le Male in my social circles. +1 for that! :D

For projection, I'd say Le Male is a beast! With two sprays, I'm enveloped in the scent. It's crazy actually haha.
Longevity: At least 8 hrs, L'Homme seems to last longer for me though.
Sprays: Two, one on the neck, another on the chest.

Sillage: Seems to perform very well here. I learned quickly not to overspray this bad boy. It can be a little dominating.
Longetivity: I would say in the weather I've worn this, I get at least 8 hours. Pretty good for cool weather.
3-4 sprays (neck, chest, forearms).More casual scent for me. Bois du Portugal is my formal occasion axe. To me this is a TRY. Not a huge compliment getter for me, but that's w/ limited use. It's a great scent, but too popular for my taste. Perhaps too feminine.
how do u keep all the fragrances in storage...i mean i know u keep them behind the glass cabinets, but do u have them lined up alphabetically or by scent type?with over 300 bottle, how do u keep track of where any bottle is?

I don't like Le Male personally. My wife liked it when I sprayed it on a card at the store. I can't wear it just because of that though. It comes off too sweet and synthetic. Thumbs up for your new video idea but for the game I will have to thumb down.

I like Le Male a lot. It's like bubblegum-pop-music in a bottle, surely not subtle, not really masculine, but immediately recognizeable .
I really think that Le Male makes me happy at times.
I also like L'Eau d'Issey a lot, for other reasons and occasions, because I think it's more elegant.
Whenever I like a real 'old school' 60s and 70s smell, I use a cheapo like Tabac Original. I don't know if it's sold everywhere, but I like the strong bergamotte, musk and sandalwood scents in it.

Just bought le male today, whoah does it have projection. Everywhere I go I leave a scent trail lol. I put it on at 4pm and its almost 10 and I could still smell it. It smells okay but it is growing on me.

For me LeMale is a double edged sword, I get plenty of great compliments when I wear it but personally I have always found the scent rather unpleasant. There is just something I don't like about the way it smells on my skin. My brother uses my bottle all the time and it smells great on him. Body chemistry can be a cruel mistress.

Co incidentally the first time I wore this fragrance was when I was on a cruise ship and was pretty much a school kid with parents. I wanted to wear some nice fragrance with the suit and tie I was supposed to wear to a restaurant on the cruise and I didn't have any fragrance. It was one of the cruise staff (aka sailor) who brought this bottle to our room and asked me to wear this. So it was typical Le male commercial for me (except that I had nothing to do with the sailor) Love it

This cologne is one of my favorites. It stays on my skin all day. Even in the morning when I wake up, I can still smell traces of it on my skin. I do enjoy sweet fragrances as well. This cologne gives me a cold,mint,vanilla vibe. Love this stuff !!!!!

This was my favourite cologne at the time I got it. I liked the opening and dry down. Unfortunately because of the warmer weather that I live in I cannot wear it that often.
It last from 12-24 Hrs on my skin but most time I do not notice it as my nose gets used to it pretty quickly.
I recommend at least a try.

I got this last November, I like it as much as my L'eau D'Issey by Issey Miyake and CK Euphoria Intense. The smell is smooth and clean but my nose is getting used to the smell like there was a time, at the end of the day when I thought I was not wearing it anymore but when I picked up my shirt for laundry 2 weeks after I sprayed it, the scent was still there. The downside I guess for me is I do not find the scent too strong unlike Issey Miyake.I also find this smells like The Dreamer by Versace.

I read before I purchased this cologne that it smelt like them round things you put in public toilets, and when it arrived all it reminded of is them toilet things but after 2 weeks I gave it another spray n loved it ever since my no1 now.

Le Male (and almost all other colognes) do not project well on me.. My scent cloud (with 2 sprays on the neck!) is only about 2-3ft out. I do one spray on the neck, and have a nice and not overpowering scent cloud all day.

Only tried this fragrance once. I have been weary of purchasing it since I know it's so popular. The time I tried it, I sprayed one application on the neck. The scent reminded me of baby powder and it was so strong that it gave me a headache :P. The scent didn't want to go away, once I returned to my house I tried washing it off multiple times but it refused to die off hahah. But I do enjoy the scent alot!

When I was first getting into fragrances I bought this one online. By mistake I ordered the aftershave version. Needless to say I liked the smell but didn't use the fragrance much because I like the edt. Anyways to cut the long story short. I was on the bus and a guy walked on. It was summer and he reeked of the stuff. He had sprayed too much and that kind of put me of buying it for 3 years. But now I am ready to buy it again and the spray version.

I bought this 1.5 weeks ago. I actually went to smell the top 5 most complimented on Tim's count down. I've always loved vanilla but was pleased with the initial blast of mint. I actually have a vanilla/lavender oil from the Body Shop that's pretty good but this is better, more complex & more useful. I plan to use it for nights out but wore it to work today. One spray. I'm sure it's popular but everyone wears Curve by me.

I smelled this on some guy at a sporting event about ten years ago and was really digging it, but had no idea what it was. Then a few years later I was at college going to the parking lot to leave and some guy was selling bootleg colognes. One of them was Le Male and when he told me the name I went out pretty quickly to snatch up a legit bottle. I'm still a fan, but will usually reach for the Bulgari Black if I'm looking for a powdery vanilla. Prefer the tea note over the mint note.

I have tested a lot of expensive fragrances and I think that Jean-Paul Gaultier is one of the best. Price range and quality. Especially that I am not single.
When it comes to buy a bottle previously owned, I tend to buy the most complimented ones. Jean-Paul Gaultier has been my friend for a long time now.

I own this and wear it pretty often. Like the scent, just wish the mint was toned down a little bit. If it were toned down just a tad I would probably wear this 4-5 times a week in the winter

I don't hate Le Male. But I don't love it. Anyways, the scent is tiring. It is pretty strong. I feel like they should tone it down a bit. Since one spritz is all I've sprayed it was on the verge of giving me a headache. But I do like the scent, I just wish it wasn't as in your face and strong.

I'm on my second 4.2 oz bottle of Le Male. It's not popular where I am. The best compliment I've ever received on it is "It has it's time and place"..? I think every girl is still adjusted to Curve, ADG and Cool Water in my area. I love it though. I love vanilla and powdery frags, but I usually hate mint. To me it's a well balanced frag. Nice way to smell fresh with some substance behind it. Longevity and projection alone make you feel like you get your money's worth also.

I personally don't care who or how many guys are wearing it, as long as I like it, I'll wear it. That goes for all fragrances, bottom line. I'm not the type that would wear something different just for the sake of it, so I won't turn down a good fragrance. Furthermore, I haven't ran into one single female who dislikes this fragrance, so that's a big plus right there.

****Warning, even though it smells nice and all it is intense and if you wear it on your neck you are gonna have to put up with it all day long which can be a little too much for some people like myself. What I do is 1 spray on the chest and 1 on each wrist - I'm set!

It is very popular here in India but I like it so I wear it.. I love wearing this at night..I've been told this one smells mysterious... In my own words...............
To me, this is a fragrance for a very outgoing YET coy guy: someone with confidence that wants to be noticed yet is not obnoxious. My brother owns this (college kid) and my old college roommate wore it way to much... even sprayed it in places fragrance was not meant to be sprayed! Use your imagination. Perhaps because of that I view this unfairly as a scent that a gigolo would wear. Le Male is "sexy" and very in-your-face. Not for me, but it does have its place.

I own a sample of this fragrance but my brother got one from me for christmas. My experience from my tiny sample spritzer is mind blowing, I do just two sprays on the neck and it projects like nothing else I know. Longevity is well beyond my actitivity hours, I will go to bed with the scent still reaching my nose. As for quality I feel it's not a wow fragrance like say Edition Blanche which puts out the scent of lemons in a perfect and natural way, Le Male's ingredients appear modified.

I have a sad story... I looooooooove this frag, for sure, BUT it is not for me :( it doesn't project as much and it doesn't last, I thought it was a fake, but now I know it's real, but maybe is old I think that because after a few hours the smell is like something old, weird! :S I guess I'll buy a new one someday...

Ok I got like 3 bottles of this and its so hard to use, it has to be really cold and you cant spray too much. Bottom like if you spend most of your time in the office then the gym you might not get to use it no matter how much you like it. I'm gonna start giving this away to family members.

Secondly, about the frag. I smelled it in Shoppers after hearing all the hype and I had to wash it off. I also tried Bulgari Black on that same trip and walked out of the store knowing that vanilla is DEFINATELY not my note. I just can't do vanilla, to me it's too "dense". But I could definately see how someone who likes vanilla would LOVE Le Male.

its a thumbs up for me but its my number 3 frag on my list issey miyake pour homme is #1 then Prada amber pour homme then burberry in the clear glass bottle the original one.I only like 4 frags and these are my all time keepers.If i get a number 5 it would be lolita lempicka au masculin.which more then likely i will get.as for my cheap frag i like curve for men the original.

It smells THE SAME as red Intesa unisex deodorant,almost everybody here in Serba told me thar,and it gives you kinda chipy feel by wearing it.
I've got a bottle of it and it's ok fragrance,I dont like supersweet fragrances and I think it's very overated cologne.

I like it, but to me it isnt anything very special. I think its just another vanilla scent. For me, I would much rather wear something like Angel Men, or La Nuit de L'homme. I have had more compliments on those two fragrances than on Le Male by far. I think really, its what you stated in the video, its so common that people tend to know the scent around here and almost ignore it. I like something out there and unique. Le Male is pretty much my pillow comfort frag. now

I think this a really good scent. I have but i am not wearing it much because my brother wears it too and i dont want to copy him. Projection and longevity is good. But in my area i think it is too popular not only as a going out scent but as everyday so i think everyone will recognize it if i wear. I have a lot of other choices, which is not as popular or well know so thats what i wear i love this one but for me it is a bit too popular.

It's definitely not a bad fragrance, but I'm not crazy about the powdery aspect of it. It has insane longevity and projection, so that's good. I only 1-2 sprays and I'm set. I wear it every now and then, but it's not a personal favorite. I like my scents a little bit more clear and clean.

It smells good, but it's not for me. I don't like the sweetness and the powder. It's not the mint (I love Live Jazz), it could be the vanilla that I dislike; I don't own any vanilla based fragrances. I know a lot of women love it, but if I'm not comfortable wearing a fragrance, it will show. That's my 2 cents, it doesn't change the fact that it's a very popular scent. It wouldn't be popular for nothing.

I blindly bought this at macys. It was my first bottle i ever bought from macys. I really enjoyed it! Most my friends know nothing about colognes so they never smelled this before and have no idea what it is. All they have is one aquatic cologne and thats it. Actually one of them has chrome and he's been wearing that since highschool (27 now) and he never moved from that lol

I've been rocking this since its debut.
On my skin, the initial orange blossom/lavender blast calms down after 2-3 hours. Then the powdery vanilla picks up IF my body heats up.....otherwise it stays quiet for the next 10 hours.
I love how this one works on me. And fortunately, I don't run into many people wearing Le Male in my social circles. +1 for that! :D

Totally mislead me to believe this wasn't going down, Robes hahaha. Anyway, I LOVE Le Male. I can't believe I shied away from it just because of the bottle (when I was younger of course).
For projection, I'd say Le Male is a beast! With two sprays, I'm enveloped in the scent. It's crazy actually haha.
Longevity: At least 8 hrs, L'Homme seems to last longer for me though.
Sprays: Two, one on the neck, another on the chest.
I just started using it, so no compliments yet stupendous fragrance!

Sillage: Seems to perform very well here. I learned quickly not to overspray this bad boy. It can be a little dominating.
Longetivity: I would say in the weather I've worn this, I get at least 8 hours. Pretty good for cool weather.
3-4 sprays (neck, chest, forearms).More casual scent for me. Bois du Portugal is my formal occasion axe. To me this is a TRY. Not a huge compliment getter for me, but that's w/ limited use. It's a great scent, but too popular for my taste. Perhaps too feminine.

its on my short list of new frags to buy. im just wearing pure malt these days, which is AWESOMMMME too but just don't see it as being it as a chick magnet as le male, tho i like pure malt over le male.

yes I owned it...le male..but if you wear it...everybody knows what it is..oh le male..... i like using scents that nobody knows what it is......makes them think...... but i still like it.. i want to try the new one terrible - marc have you smelled it yet ??

I don't like Le Male personally. My wife liked it when I sprayed it on a card at the store. I can't wear it just because of that though. It comes off too sweet and synthetic. Thumbs up for your new video idea but for the game I will have to thumb down.

Well said. I tried to like it, but I just can't stand the synthetic sweet vanilla of LM. I sprayed it on my coat in the store and that annyoing scent stayed there for 2 days! Talk about longevity!
For sweet vanilla gourmand I'd rather wear Hanai Mori, mmmm..... =)
