Lauren Hill is a great "original talent", what her beliefs are is her business,....you think. I love her music and her message, particular this song "Mr. Intentional". Listen to what she is saying....she is so authentic and real! Try it, you might like it.

If God was controlling everyone's sleep cycles there would be no such thing as a sleep disorder such as UARS, which causes constant waking throughout the night. First of all no matter how you view life. "God" is an opinion. We have the choice to believe or not. Just because you say he brought lauryn into the world doesn't mean he did. With that said, whoever said anything about having kids to have talent? I just said give lauryn credit for all the hard work, and practice she put in to be where she is. When people of a certain level of consiousness speak of the most high we are speaking of that fabric witch holds all of creation together. @savion that would work - except this ENTIRE cd is an ode to Yahweh - everything she sings about is Christ if you listen, it seems you may be a non-believer and though unfortunate, it's your choice to to choose the flesh - but Lauryn herself, and those of us who know that Yahweh is the way truth and the light know that we are NOTHING outside of his permissions. SHE didn't do anything but use the tool that GOD gave her to glorify God.

@jakhaarikiaana The mechanism by which we wake up is well understood by science and has to do with circadian rhythms. If God was controlling everyone's sleep cycles there would be no such thing as a sleep disorder such as UARS, which causes constant waking throughout the night. Also, blind people would not suffer life long sleep disorders caused by their inability to perceive light, which is a big trigger for waking.

@jakhaarikiaana Your question is actually really easy to answer. When you want to wake up at a certain time you don't pray that it will happen before you go to bed, you set your alarm clock. The noise will wake you because it creates a state of arousal in your brain (not sexual arousal, obviously, 'arousal' just means to become alert.) It's just how our brains work.

Even if that were the case, "God did it" isn't a reasonable answer because there is no reason to suspect it is true. I could just as easily say "aliens did it" or "The sleep fairy keeps you alive all night and wakes you in the morning." Those answers would be just as valid and just as nonsensical. What makes you think we need a "who" to wake us up? You're asking the wrong questions

The trouble is, no one can seem to agree on what God is, what he wants, what He wants us to do, etc. Some people think He wants us to love each other, some think he wants us to "cure" or at least disenfranchise gays, some think he wants us to fly airplanes into the sides of buildings.

There is no scripture that says homosexuality if okay, so those things are all man made lies around the truth. They are not backed up by the word, but if you can find anything that condones any of those things that you said then I will go look into it. And there is only one God, but the way to get through to Him is through Jesus Christ, period.

Actually the Bible refutes every single one of those things. proverbs talks about the virtuous woman and how her worth is more than rubies so why would God condone burning them? You willfully follow a deity that is recorded as slaughtering innocent children (all the first born of Egypt) bringing plague, famine and death, ordering slaves beat to death (exodus) genocide (Deuteronomy) the capture, imprisonment and rape of women taken during war (also Deuteronomy)

@stillmattwest animal torture and maiming (the hamstringing of horses) the slaughter of entire families, including the babies (1 samuel) condones the "ripping open" of pregnant women (2 Kings) and many other horrifying crimes against humanity.
There is nothing "righteous" in any of these acts. The real horror here is that a lot of these stories are probably based in reality. I don't blame God, because there isn't one. But men did these things, using religion as an excuse for evil.
