@varuncode the gold was put on by sher-e-punjab during his rule not after 1947(his rule was the golden period) and shri darbar sahib runs a 24 hour langar sewa i.e. free of cost food to anyone of any religion....if you wanna learn or practice kirtan or education it is free of cost...and many poor families admit their children there so that they can earn after they get learned...u wont b able to find any hungry or starvin person their i can guarantee you that....
