It really disgusts me that a group like Flyleaf feels comfortable spreading lies and untrue myths just to sell records. Neither Cassie NOR Rachel were asked about their belief in god before being murdered. This has been confirmed by the FBI for many years after the shooting. I personally find it disgusting that people use the deaths of these innocent girls to provoke a reaction from people who believe them to be 'martyrs' just to sell records. Rachel Scott was the VERY FIRST victim of the shooting, and was killed outside before they even entered the school, Cassie was in the library. It's a good story, but in reality Valeen Schnurr was the only person asked that question and she lived to tell about it. Rachel was shot 4 times from 50 yards away and died instantly.

Actually, she wasn't even so much as asked that question. Cassie being asked that was only a rumor that was proven a myth soon to be a decade ago. All Eric said to Cassie was peekaboo. That book you are referring to was written right after the shooting and is based on a single witness that admitted to mistaking Valeen Schnurr's voice for Cassie's back in the year 2000. Just to prove how ignorant Flyleaf is, her is an example. They claim Cassie an Rachel were both asked if they believed in God, first Cassie and then Rachel. Rachel Scott was the VERY FIRST victim of the shooting, and was killed outside before they even entered the school, Cassie was in the library. It's a good story, but in reality Valeen Schnurr was the only person asked that question and she lived to tell about it. Rachel was shot 4 times from 50 yards away and died instantly.

Well first off, Cassie was never asked that question. Valeen was asked, which she replied "Yes...No...I don't know". She was asked why she said "yes", and she said because her family believes in it. I think they let her live.
Cassie, on the other hand, died in a more different way. She was hiding under a table, then Eric slammed [or tapped] his hand on the table, leant over, said "Peakaboo", and then shot her in the face with a shotgun.

no, actually, its not suicied. its martyrdom, which means dying for your faith. cassie and rachel were two of the people who died for believing in god. and god believed it was their time to go. also, its only suicide if you kill yourself. cassie and rachel didnt commit suicied. if they did, there probably wouldnt be a song dedicated to how they died for their faith. and if it seems like im repeating myself a lot, then im sorry, but i want to emphasize the fact they were martyrs. id say yes, too.
