why do people cut the end of the barrel of the double shot gun can someone answer me does it make it shoot farther or someything

@mangazblad yes, actually. This is the same reason Nerf Longshots with no barrel fire farther, or the Nerf Recon. When you fire the dart, the tail end of it ricochets off of the internals, causing it to wobble and spend kinetic energy correcting itself in the air. Less barrel, less ricochet. Somewhere I saw a video a kid had made where he literally was stuffing darts into a stub of a gun and shooting with no barrel whatsoever. Regardless, theres only SO much power in the gun...

@tyrro316 You can use whatever you want, but if you don't sand then the paint will come off a lot easier.

why do you have to take apart the gun? Can't you just paint it just like that (without sanding and taking apart)

@thejoker2f he explained why he sanded it... the taking apart is a pretty common thing, it's so you don't miss a part and spray really light.

So it takes several hours to dry silver and only a few minutes for black?, but I want to make it an oldie Double barrel :) Brown handle , black muzzle , so is there a wait restriction on those colors thats more than normal...Well just brown?

@JakeLolwtf Well it takes the same amount of time, but if you are going to put tape over the paint then you should wait extra so to be sure the paint dries good. Each kind of paint takes a different time to dry, so you just have to look at the can to see the estimate. Some take an hour and some take 15 minutes.

@TheLastUgly If you mod another gun i have a tip for ya: Take a picture of the gun (disassembled but not the parts)before you mod it and after you mod it. follow the picture

You do not need to sand, just buy Krylon Fusion and save yourself alot of work. I am working on one now for Wild Wild West Con in March. I'll post a video of reassembly. Tip: Take pictures as you take the thing apart for later reference. I took every single piece apart to get the best paint job, it wasn't easy.

Hey so I've seen people who mod it and there's a string coming out the back. I heard that once you open up the double shot it's impossible to get the string back in it's place. Could you make a tutorial on how to assemble and disassemble this gun. Also if you could do other guns. You would get a lot more views and would be helping a lot of people out, considering you have such experience and expertise in this category.

@adamthehen Yeah, you should put co2 cartridges in the gun so it shoots far.

just take off the green bit, paint it brown(look on shotgun images to get the right colour) and paint the rest black with a tiny hint of white and blue to get the 'cobalt' look. im crap at painting aswell!

uhm i have a weird problem with the double shot sawed off part....only one part of the shot gun fires. i think thats because of the gun itself or the mod.....i dunno how it compares to it but i think so.
