When I was 15 (Im 33 now) I weighed 130 lbs and a 250 pound cop broke my nose, blackened my eyes ,chipped some teeth and falsely charged me w/ resisting arrest all over a bowl of weed. Wish there would have been cameras back then.

They were committing a crime by beating him while he was down, and who knows how many others they gave that same treatment to. Unless he raped and robbed and shot a few people, then I can see a legitimate reason. They could have simply tazed, cuffed, and arrested him vs. BEATING THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS out of him. If he was under the influence of narcotics and drunk and about 6'3" and 250 pounds, okay, ya have a dozen cops take him down. But from all the reports and from the lawyer, etc, NO drugs or anything of such was this case.

What makes this so shocking isn't that a couple cops beat the tar out of an innocent person (which is way more common then people think), but the fact that around 12 cops watched it and did nothing. More than nothing. When the cops who did it lied in the report, none of those 12 cops spoke up.
