I live in the farm house by the Sunnyside on 47. In '96 the house or shop didn't get a drop. This one is said to be 3 ft. higher and there goes the wood pile and -- oops, there goes the Persian rug. Who Thought? I was rescued to higher ground for the night. Heartbreaking, but not as bad as many very sad stories. There is hope. Volunteers are piling on at Mt. Vernonia. hi from ceres,ca i have been watching the news about the storms and i lived in scappoose until last year. my mother in law almost bought a home in vernonia, but went to westport instead and froze her ass off.
