I always wanted to go to the Myrtles Plantation. I did see a face too, unfortunately it was the face of a mouse. It is not transparent, a mouse could climb a tripod, and a mouse is too light to move the camera. Regardless, I bet it was an interesting place to stay.

I'm a believer and In my opinion, I think it looks like someone (from beyond b/c they seem to be transparent) washed their hands and then left the room. I think it's Chloe! That's EXACTLY what it looks like to me! It starts as her materializing, and then towards the end, it looks like her arm and sleeve...and then her full-bodied apparition...and then her shadow as she passes out of view. I don't know why the thought of souls living on in the afterlife is so hard for some people to grasp. And if people can believe in God's promise that we will have everlasting life, then why can't they believe in ghosts?

@RebelReaper, yeah...if you look closely you can that's it's a- Moth. You'll also the moths antenna as well. If it was truely a shadow- the entire viewing area would have been blacked out for a second or 2. The camera was just trying to focus in on that moth as it passed by.

I just watched again you can see an antenna about :18 to :20 seconds into this video clip. I know and understand that this place is really haunted. Due to the fact that my mom heard her name being called out when she stayed over night in the slaves quaters. Esther said that it was one of the ghostly children saying my moms name. Honestly though I believe this shadow to be a moth walking across the top part of the lens.

Well, I enjoy ghost hunting. I have had several experiences such as capturing 3 apparitions, and EVPs. I reviewed this video clip- watching it severval times. It appears to me; due to the light on the camera being on...this black shadow going across the screen is a "moth". I watched to see if there were any shadows on that wall by the camera. It looks like a moth. Watch it closely. You'll will the moths wing. Moths are attracted to light sources.

Either a bug or a bird. You can clearly see some kinda of beak or mandible when it turns. Actually I just enhanced the photo and 2 beady eyes are visible...I'm gonna go out and say a bug.

I don't know if i mentioned this over the years but I recorded two full video tapes this night. this was the only thing that I saw that was out of the ordinary. Had there been bugs in the room attracted to the warmth of the camera as a few have mentioned...don't u think they would have hung around the camera and not just passed by it one time? as far as the cat or mouse or bird or whatever theories...this camera was on a tripod...the camera never moves.

@SouthernSpirits I've been twice now to the Myrtles tho i've never had the pleasure of sleeping there. I always felt very welcomed when I went. Very warm feeling throughout the entire house(at least that I experienced) Took a picture of the mirror on my 8th grad field trip in 1995 and captured a full bodied apparition on the staircase towards the top of a turn of the century gentleman wearing a suit. Can't find the picture now FOR THE LIFE OF ME but I know it was there.Can't wait to go back

i would have said it was something like the wing of a moth or something but then i thought "well, it's a night-vision camera so it's likely to make it light up when it gets close to the middle, but that's just a black blob. and ontop of that, it's dark, moths don't move around unless theres light, and they don't have holes in their wings either, and if it was on the lense you would be able to see it's legs even if the camera is out of focus.. so it's possible that it's a ghost...

When the darkness comes down from above, it looks like a side view of a womans face. I never made it to the Myrtles, although I lived in N.O. for five years. I really don't know if I would spend the night there.....I would like to take a night tour though!

Actually that did kinda look like a bug. You can see the torso and the posterior end of the bug. The camera is set in night vision. So because the camera was working in a " no light' setting, it didn't need to focus out when the bug made its appearance on the lens.

The auto focus is trying to focus in on something directly infront of the lense.

A bug prehaps. Maybe a cat. But it is substantial and solid enough to

cause the blurred background. Ectoplasma will not distort the autofocus to this extent.

Yes many cats live at the Myrtles. However, the Camera was sitting on a tripod approximately 4ft high. To high for a cat to stroll in front of or swat at.If it had jumped on the camera, it would have knocked it over or moved it. the doors were closed and locked. I have not had much time to read all the posts on here lately. For the roach fans.if something was actually touching the lens of the camera...the entire picture would be out of focus. test ur theories. that is not the case here.

Bugs can pass by without hanging around, people can take 33 second clips from videos and keep what they want people to see. Put it together

Doubt very much that it was a rat or mouse but it could have been a spider or another type of house bug attracted to the warmth of the camera. Or it could have been a shadow of quite something else. An EMF meter to record electromagnetic field changes and a temperature monitor which could have recorded changes in temp as this thing passed over the camera would have been more conclusive.

It's not a bug. On second 27 you can see that it throws a shadow on the bedpost and you can see the bedpost through the shadow. A bug on the lense would have blacked out the post.
