Like fjshepherd93 said, NEVER use reverse thrust when only one engine is in operation. That'll bring you right off the runway. (Atleast it would in real life)

"In real life" it is perfectly safe and legal to defer maintenance on one thrust reverser do a web search for 737 MMEL (master minimum equip list) refer to 78-1

Firstly, NEVER turn back to the runway. You'd be landing downwind, with no reverse thrust (you only use that with both engines fully operational. Second, your approach was too fast and steep with too little flap.

I don't ever think southwest paints their planes silver. The only time a plane is silver is before it has even been painted anyways. You also never reported that you had a fire you just replied to the emergency clearence to land. Also a 180 degree turn with a fire wouldn't be good on the aircraft either.

I probably wouldn't have made a 180 degree turn to land with a tailwind...would've made an extended traffic pattern to reach final approach, with the landing runway, to land with a headwind.

Wel av bin on a plane wen the engine has caught fire n a wish the cabin crew and captain was givin us anouncments like that we was just tld to brace and were the exits were that was it and wen we had landed the cabin crew and captian evacuated half way frew when the passengers were so passengers were stil left on the aircraft and am sure the crew has to stay on untill all passengers have evacuated but neva mind we was all ok :]

dude, check your airplanes. The 737-100/200 used Pratt & Whitney JT8Ds - the engines you are referring to. All other variants, starting with the -300s in the early 80s, has used ever evolving CFM-56s.
