@randomlymadevids It will record all music well...when people record metal you have to make sure that all the input levels are spot on ie play as loud as poss and make sure you are not overloading and it will be fine...be aware that you can only record 2 tracks live at once....a good idea is to download the manual for free at Tascams website...that will give you a good idea if this is the one for you....
Hi, do you think a person with no sight could use this device? I'm thinking I would just memorize the amount of clicks through the menu to get to create or whatever else, but is it simple enough to do that? Thanks.
also the built in mikes? best i ever heard..it records vocals and acoustic guitars like nothing i ever seen..the build in mikes are incredible..phantom power for mike users...eq...reverbs....you'll love it.
i have one and i recomend this unit. its a great machine for the price...8 tracks..constant bounces...crystal clear c.d. quality....i have a rack with gear...compression...exciter... effects and all that and this thing records great. guitars..drums..bass, you name it. well worth the money
I actually have been looking into getting this. It is portable and has a nice professional sound. I also have used other multitracks, but I'm looking for something small and worth the spending. It seems very good. thanx
@musikpassion18...Hi...for us it is really good..It looks and behaves like a recorder...you know you can actually mix with it..bounce down as much as you like..full undo/redo..very easy to use..phantom power..built in stereo mics..the only drawbacks are its very limited effects...only eq and reverb..but becuase we are mainly recording keyboards its not a problem as all the effects are already on the synth sound..and we record all our vocals in the much bigger Boss BR1600CD..but highly recomended
@lushfauna ..Hi..No it does not have midi...that could be a problem...in answer to the other question, it comes with a free 2GB card and that gives around 150 minutes recording time..I think it will take up to 32 gig...but you can export to your computer and import and cut copy paste all the usual stuff...we use it mainly for ideas although the quality is good enough to use it properly...hope this helps....you can download the full manual in PDF from Tascams website for free...
Thanks for your help. I am sold!
See my channel, also, for good synth music.

Which is overall better...this Tascam or the Boss BR800? I am simply wanting to record guitar and ideas for my band. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks.
