@legojoe12345 Will be posting just such photos shortly over at our website. We'll also be creating a how-it's-made video for this boat in the coming weeks.
@MrHelidude A quick Google search indicates that 2.4GHz won't penetrate water well. You'll want to use a lower frequency. Fresh water tends to give you less trouble than salt water, also.
When I go past Singapore, one of the many hobby shops there has an enormous R/C submarine in their shop window. I Hope that I will get to see one in the water one day ............. :-)
@HarrisonBonesOwns Thanks! This model was scratch-built from a PVC pipe, mahogany, basswood, and a host of other materials. We'll have a making-of video up soon!
Ah, I love scratch built submarines. Don't you just hate it when people forget to make the prop movement and fin operations move at scale speed. It really kills the realism. I like how you used a speed controller on the prop, so you're not just tapping the throttle to make it acheive low speeds. You should really do a how-to video.
@YellingDingo22 Thanks very much! We can get away with operating this sub at pretty unrealistic speeds, thanks to the cameras we use. We film between 60 and 240 fps, so slowing down the footage really gives these things a sense of scale and mass that would otherwise be lacking. You're right about the speed control on the throttle; it's much more fun to see the thing moving at bare steerageway. We'll be doing a how-it's-made video soon!
Good job! I am very impressed by your

In the first video how did the submarine lose signal?
hongrand 3 months ago
@hongrand Salt water interferes with radio waves.
Rapidnadion 3 months ago
@Rapidnadion how deep it can go ?
galysica1950 3 months ago
@galysica1950 Not sure on the crush depth of this hull, but the signal issue won't let it dive much deeper than a foot or so at this point.

Why didn't you put torpedoes on?
