Interesting approach to Butoh (incidentally, which I studied in Yokohama during the eighties -- more dabbled in than studied, tho...)
Not sure if I get the whole "spastic dinosaur" / "retarded baby" approach evident here (my analysis). I always felt Butoh was an internalized commentary on the horrors of the atomic bomb. This performance feels more like surface grotesquery. Perhaps one has to experience it live...
