I gotta say, these are the best parodies anywhere. You guys clearly are parodying out of respect as much as humor, as you guys don't just go to do the obvious, and it's clear that you all really watched the films you're parodying. I especially love the guy who plays John McCain, he's got that Leslie Nielsen thing going on, going along with the humor, really gets the feeling of a desperate John McCain, and completely the feelings from all the movies. As a filmmaker, two big thumbs up!!! thanks!!

I give you that... You're right, the awkward pattern of dialogue and the added audio special effects, not to mention the seriousness of the mood over a simple conversation. I just think it's a bit too easy. It's still a bit too generalized for me. David Lynch's works are parodies themselves, so this would be a parody of a parody. Maybe that's why I have a difficult time accepting it(?)

You've kinda got it pegged. I didn't like the Kevin Smith parody because it was such a straight lift from Clerks. All of the attack ads are pretty generalized, but I like the Wes Anderson and David Lynch ones because they combine elements from several of their films. The David Lynch one also references Twin Peaks and Lost Highway, for the record.
