  • Ha! Maggie Smith is brilliant as always :)

  • he's too hot!

  • I totally love this movie, together with 'pride and prejudice', 'titanic', 'the notebook' and 'Mr Nobody' it's my favourite movie, I like others, but these I totally love!!!

  • God, although I love the Jane-Tom relationship in this movie, I can't help but thinking about replacing her with "Jane Eyre"'s Rochester (Michael Fassbender). X-Men First Class influence, I'm so sorry. I just want to see some McFassy, okay?! : D

  • james mcavoy really awesome

  • proffesorrrr mcgonagalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • Becoming Jane: Maggie Smith & Ms. Molly Weasley, a character is Mr. Weasley

    Sense & Sensibility: Alan Rickman

    HP Characters

  • There are always a bunch of harry potter characters in jane austen movies.

  • 1:12 uh that smile

  • dont forget julie walters

  • Anne Hathaway, Maggie smith AND Jame s McAvoy!!!!!

  • and its not mr weasley its mr wisly - the blond dude :)

  • Sadest Movie Ever.......... :'(

  • I thought it was meant to be sad, doesn't look very sad to me

  • @AnimalCrazyRandomGal it honestly is. Just watch it! The ending is unbelievably depressing.... :'(

  • What ! Not only Prof . McGonagall is here but also Molly Weasley ( Julie Walters ) is also here .. Don't you see her ???

  • Instead of saying Prof. McGonagall, use Maggie Smith. She is famous too... xD

  • @betunysangre I can't help it sometimes LOL

  • 0:41, poor boy, Alice also didn't want him... :(

  • @GreenePearl hahaha he just keeps getting turned DOWN

  • James McAvoy is soooo DAMN HOT!!!!!!!!!!

  • @conunts damn right

  • @SillySophiaa Me too..We are so many now...hah!

  • I was born in the wrong era...

  • this was so sad movie !"!!! but also so funny " :) I LOVE MCAVOY HE IS ONE OF THE BEST ACTORS IN THE WORLD

  • 0:17- I'm sorry, did she say Mr Weasley? (too much HP influence here)

  • @elmoloveswasabi That's what I thought when I watched it, but it's Wisely. Psshht :( ♥Julie Walters & Maggie Smith!♥

  • @elmoloveswasabi I always think so!

  • now i know what inspired her to create Mr. Darcy

  • "What is she doing?" "Writing." "Can anything be done about it?"

  • @NBlunierProductions yeah just take her off her lol i'm sorry i had to

  • Professor mcgonagall !

  • Don´t wish that. It was a bad time for women, but a beautiful time for cloth fashion.

  • professor mCgonagall!!!:)

  • if I was born in this era.. I'd be labelled a delinquent for the smallest things.XD

  • Was it Julie Walters (Molly Weasley) herself who said "Mr. Weasley"?

  • I watched this in English Literature Lesson :]

  • James fucking mcavoy <333333333

  • This movie is a joke compared to Joe Wright's Pride and Prejudice. Watch it, and you'll know what I mean.

  • @harpyshot284 1. how can you compare the two? P&P is, as we all know, based on the novel of the same name.. this movie is mostly based on the letters Jane Austen wrote to her sister Cassandra.. many people think that her relationship with Tom Lefroy, had a great influence on P&P, (I think they're right) but we can only guess. this movie is just a guess...

    2. we all have different views, but to me the 1995 P&P miniseries is way better. it follows the novel better than Joe Wright's attempt.

  • its on bbc iplayer right now :)

  • omgosh i cried!!! so true the trailer doesnt do it justice!

  • its on bbc iplayer if you guys wanna watchit!

  • great film *-*

  • So was this a true story?

  • Why is her accent all good here?? And in one day It's all Blah!!!!

  • I can only see Maggie Smith as Professor McGonagall, oh boy.

  • @chibiita25 and Julie Walters as Mrs Weasley!

  • LOL! I love how the movie actually shows things that she used for her books like the male characters, the attitudes towards society, the love story, etc.. Although I expected a better ending but I guess that ending is the reason for such unusual stories she created during her life time. Pure genius yet quite sad at the same time.

  • mr. weasley? hhahaah

  • This is a pretty good movie. James McAvoy acts like a jerk half the time, but he's so gorgeous and swwe the other half. And Anne Hathaway does fantastic job. It's much more heartfelt and tender than the trailer makes it seem.

  • James is so freaking handsome and hot and everything in this movie! /drool

One of my fav movies (:

  • this seems alot like pride and predigest!

  • @iloovejobros because pride and predigest is actually based on herself i guess?

  • McGonagall as a blonde! XD can't get over that. XD

  • I cannot bare to listen to bad critic of this movie, it's brilliant, funny, I feel like I know all of the characters, and I cried for hours after watching this.

    It's magical. (:

  • James McAvoy is a very rare treat..

  • Just finished watching it...now i'm crying :')

  • lol professor mcgonagall

  • Ah, I really wanted to see this movie. And I really didn't care for Hathaway playing this movie. But oh my god, I could not stand 10 minutes of her accent! So so annoying. lol I literary stopped watching at 9 min. Are there no female British women actresses? Seriously. I wish they would have spent more time with her accent at least. sigh, and then people didn't learn and let her do One Day! I will re-read the book I guess...

  • Now that I think about it, Anne Hathaway does make for a good Jane Austen. :) I will always and forever be a fan of Jane's books.

  • I love this century, but women didn't have as much freedom as they do now. But men do seem like they were a little more polite back then.

  • i thought I would see this movie then i saw anne hathaway was playing jane. i couldn't stand 1 min of that whore much less 2 hours and why did they use the music from little women on this trailer???

  • Maggie Smith <3

  • 0:12 julie walters says mr. weasley, she's molly weasley in the Harry Potter series WOAH

  • @ace150kph Oh, I thought I was imagining things! lol xDD

  • @ace150kph No, she says Mr. Wisley. Pronounciation: WIZ-LEE But you are right, the two sound very much alike.

  • I love anne so much! <3

  • 1:13- 1:52 -- Little Women score!! :) Some of my favorite music of all time, but I don't think it fits super well with the tone of this film. Oh well. :)

  • Anyone seen any video reviews or read any online reviews about the e-book

April Curran Meets the Vampire of Crimson Cove High School?

  • omg.... MR.TUMNUS!

  • I'm gonna watch this because I'm in love with James Mcavoy...too bad he's married. :/

  • @TheMaliciousStorm tottaly agree with you I love james Mcavoy so much and he is so talented!

  • @NowIsMyTurn Yeah he really is! Then he seems like a bright and very kind man. :)

  • 'My characters will have all that they desire.'

Breaks my heart everytime I hear her say that.

  • McAvoy's best film xD

  • Anne's accent is very good, I'm impressed. Most American actors I've heard do a terrible English accent.

  • i want to cry i hate how the movie ends but i love it and hate it but LOOOOOVVVVEEEEEE IIIIIITTTT ;()

  • watching that movie now, just love it

  • ah one of my fave films - watched it twice in 2 days:D gotta love james

  • so...that was the whole movie man

  • @freakishhigh thank god i stopped early ^.^

  • I'm a guy and I loved this movie, as I am a writer as Jane. I felt attached to her since the beginning. Loved this movie sooo much and the ending was heart-breaking.

  • she has a horrible accent

  • If I was born in this century I'd be a slave =/. It seems there's no winning.

  • @midnightwallflower *Starts to cry* You're right! And you don't win, you just do a little better each time...

  • @midnightwallflower I know right . . . I was thinking the same thing while watching Pride & Prejudice the other day. I'd be a slave too :\

  • I LOVE this movie<3

  • This trailer stole the music from Little Women!!!!! :D

  • There are so many clips that remind me of pride and prejudice in this... But I'll have to say I prefer Keira Knightely

  • I see so many traces of Pride and Prejudice (:

  • i was crying for verry long time when jane break up with tom !!! that was so sad )!!! but i love the film !!!

  • LONGING FOR FREEDOM is a 90-minute feature film

which tells the story of a young woman who liberates herself from an

    ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP.

Please have a look at the trailer.

    Thanks,

  • The music used in this trailer is the soundtrack of the Sense and Sensibility film adapted by Emma Thompson and directed by Ang Lee, and it was composed by the amazing Patrick Doyle. :)

  • haha... Mr. wizzley

  • james is most charming in this movie.

  • ITS MR.TUMNUS AND MCGONAGALL. BRILLIANT.

  • ahhhhh.....James Mcavoy :)

  • i watch this trailer again and again just for James smiling in the dance party (well, i love the movie, but this scene is lovely)

  • Does anyone else LOVE Jame's smile at 1:13?

  • @Star2Be5394 I do...

  • i just watched this movie yesterday, because James McAvoy (and Anne too) i cried like a baby and still feel so sentimental. Beautiful movie.

  • 1:55

    i died a little

  • I dream about living in this Century

  • Arthur Hoggett!

  • James Mcavoy so hot. Loved this movie. Gives us girls an insight to Jane Austen's inspiration. The best love stories are the ones you experience yourself. However it ends. I admire Jane Austen for staying single, because she refused to settle for a man she didn't love. And yet she became an incredible author. She was stubborn to find her own happiness. What a Lady, I sure am taking lessons. Loved the movie

  • Facebook TIE TUESDAY and you will join awesomeness :)

  • i love anne :)

  • I probably belonged somewhere in that time period....

  • a character by the name of Mr. Weasly and the witch from harry potter!! haha

  • Comment removed

  • Molly? Minerva? I recently watched this, and didn't recognize them.

  • When I heard the background music all I could think about was the movie 'Little Women'.

  • @teta14 Exactly! They use that soundtrack for so many of jane austen's books >movies.

If you watch some of the trailers for other movies you'll know what I mean. Sense & Sensibility, Pride & Prejudice etc. As much as I love Little Women and the soundtrack it' can be distracting when I hear it in some of these trailers

  • I wish I was born in this century!

  • @ALLADINification That would suck if you were. in reality, it was a very tight, strict society where duty was more important than personal choice, what one wanted or dreamed.

  • @ALLADINification trust me u don't

  • @ALLADINification If you have the same beliefs I do, maybe you were. I spent half my childhood wondering who I was in another life... A maidservant, a princess, a duchess... who knows?

  • @ALLADINification If you were, you'd be dead ;)

  • @ALLADINification but without our modern context (on love marriage and happiness etc), i think most will find it very unhappy to be born in that century - most will follow social conventions and marry for security and stability. Romantic passion etc would generally be farfetched. However, with a modern context, i second the motion fully! XD

  • @ALLADINification the only thing i couldnt handle with living in that century is the attitude towards marriage... love is desirable; money is essential.

  • @ALLADINification I don't. I love the modern world!!

  • @ALLADINification i know i wish the exact same

  • It's the witch from Harry Potter!!!! cool. :>

  • Ohhhh. This movie looks interesting. It kinda has the Pride & Prejudice "feel". =)) I'll probably watch this movie. :)

  • it's the sound track from Sense and Sensibility!!!! =D

  • at 2.06 she uses an AMERICAN ACCENT. tututut.

  • Tom Lefroy <3

  • my favourite movie ever! it's amazing! james lefroy is the most gorgeous person ever to live, i understand why jane austen liked him <3

  • I much love this movie..!!! Anne Hathaway was awesome especially James -3 -3!!!!! it was so sad at the end though but I love all those witty moments with each other...they were sooo cute together...

  • In what year was this set?

  • Mr Tumnus, Professor McGonagall, Mrs Weasley and Andrea Sachs. I think I'll watch it. XD (I'm also a Jane Austen fan so...)

  • OOMG my favourite author AND my favourite actress all in one, How on earth did i not know of this movie untill now!!! :s

  • I LOVE this movie. Especially the library scene where Jane and Thomas trade witty insults. James McAvoy is such an amazing actor. :)

  • JAMES MCAVOY <3.

  • he was exactly the man who, in disposition and talents, would most suit her...

  • Maggie smith is a wonderful actress and she always plays her roles well, though they are often serious. But when she smiles, the world smiles.

  • this trailer does NOT do the movie justice

  • i'm definatly going to watch this because it has my favoraite actor in it ANNE HATHAWAY X3

  • A sensitive, beautiful and a little sad movie. How I can never seen this movie before? Anne Hathawat and Jamens McAvoy are perfect.

  • It's the theme tune from Little Women!!!!!!!

  • It's the theme tune from Little Women!!!!!!!

  • I love this movie damnly!!!!!!!!!

  • i lovee the trailer music!

  • I freaking love this movie so much. Personally, her accent wasn't a huge deal for me. As long as the actor does a really good job on playing the role - and I think Anne was phenomenal in this movie - their accents really don't bother me that much. And of course, James McAvoy was perfect for this role.

    LOVE THIS MOVIE <3

  • The last time I saw this movie (which was also the first time), I ran to my mother at the end because I couldn't stop crying. Couldn't think of anything else for at least 3 days..

I personally think this is one of the best historical movies of all time and that they made a good choose by picking these actors as well.

  • Personally, I don't see a problem with her accent. I've lived all over Britain and accents sound muddled all over the place. I think, for the time period, she probably sounds pretty genuine, as young ladies in those days would have been taught to speak with some sort of grace, and to pronounce their words properly. None of the "innits", "dya know wot a'meen" and "nuffinks" of nowadays lol.

  • This movie made me cry so harded

  • this movie made me cry so hard

  • I think Anne Hathaway made a great Jane;P i really love this movie n i wish they had gotten together at the end :'( it made me cry...

  • I have nothing against Anne Hathaway.....but I really wish it had been an English actress to play Jane. We have such a huge array of talent....and it didn't get used. It's unfortunately what puts me off this despite Maggie Smith being in it.

    Miss Austen Regets however? Addicted!

Anne's accent isn't that bad though....

  • her accent sounds really natural

  • its the little women music!

  • as much as I love anne hathaway, her accent just doesn't work..

  • anne hatherway's accent is terrible. disgusting.

you know, renee zellweger is American but she had absolutely perfet british accent in Brigit Jone's Diary.

That is what we call "Actress".

Anne hatherway's british accent is just horrible..ew..ew...ㅇ_ㅇ

  • @qmamzmwm oh god, get over it! she's still a wonderful and beautiful actress!

  • This was a sweet movie, but TOTALLY innacurate!

  • It's funny how American actors (acting English) start off with ok-ish English accents but end up sounding American towards the end! haha

  • :X:X:X I love this movie!!!

  • Anne Hathaway destroyed this film. She is a mockery to the British
